SplitScreen for Crucible only??

Alright so I was dissapointed when hearing that split screen wouldn't be available but I do understand that in the open world sections/campaign it would be pretty difficult to handle this process. But I do think split screen is very possible within Crucible ONLY. For those of us who have family members or friends who want to play with us, they shouldn't have to buy another console. Sometimes that not a possible option for some people. I own both killzone and battlefield 4 on the ps4 and I am aware of the reasons why they can't do split screen due to those games having great graphic quality, big sacrifices would need to be made in their visual department. Sure I would love split screen in those games but even though it can't be done its okay and I won't hate a game because of it. Destiny on the other hand does have good graphics but nothing on a next gen type scale so to me, I feel this feature could work (split screen). Whether bungie adds this or not I still love the game and can't wait for the final product. Let me know what you guys think.

  • My husband and I have been so excited about playing Destiny since we saw the trailer over a year ago. We've had it on pre-order for about that long. We thought that since the makers of Halo were making this game they would have realized that their fans want to have multiplayer capability. Couples and families should not have to buy separate consoles and TVs and games and have separate network accounts we're paying for every month in order to play together. I guess the only good multiplayer games we have are Borderlands and the Lego games. Thanks a lot, Bungie!

    • I would like at least that much yeah. Plus most ppl who just show up at your house and would want to play Destiny would probably prefer PvP anyway. But then again you have to at least be lvl 6 to play PvP so that idea of someone sitting down for the first time and hitting that splitscreen is sorta out the window aint it?

      • We're talking about next gen. "These consoles cannot handle split screen because these games looks soooo good" - this is 100% BS. First of all next gen graphic engines are even more scalable that their predecessors, with more advanced lod systems and they're running on 10x stronger hardware. That's why games work smoothly and look pretty and this shouldn't (and wouldn't if someone doesn't screw up his work) change in split screen. Reason why Guerilla or Dice didn't implemented split screen in their games, wasn't because it's impossible (Guerilla actually added 2 player coop in Killzone 3 and game still looked very good for PS3 standards). They made it for the same reason, for which Bungie didn't implemented split screen in Destiny - they thought that's not important. I don't know to what planet these developers emigrated in last few years, but THEY ARE WRONG! Yes, even adding split screen to Crucible would be better than nothing, but ultimately they could add it to rest of the game as well, as this is next gen, we're talking about. If I want play some matches in CoD or Halo, I can do that, but I was promised with huge, open world, that I'll be able to share with my wife, when I bought PS4 and 60" TV. Even if each screen for 4 players doesn't look better than single screen in PS3's version or Halo Reach (theoretically it could look twice as good) I'd still be very happy. Also Bungie will earn more money and establish stable community for their new franchise, and these selfish, friendless brats who doesn't see a reason for split screen, will lose nothing. It's win/win for everyone.

          • Yeah man, me and my friends still get together for halo LAN parties, and when we heard about destiny we thought that would be the new LAN party game. It's disappointing. And I'm in the same boat with family members
