All of the Halo vehicles have gone through design changes. In this thread we look at the Phantom. As we all know the Phantom first appeared in Halo 2, which was probably my favorite design. In which game do you think the Phantom looks the best?
I'll be doing some more of these threads soon so we can talk about the changes in Halo throughout :)

7 RespuestasI honestly can't remember how 4's looked. Obscenely shiny and unnecessarily segmented?
Yeah, I do love 4's aesthetic, but not every aspect.
Editado por God: 5/14/2014 4:56:17 PMYes, yes, nostalgia blindness and all that nonsense. Seriously though, I never liked the design with the open sides. Frankly I found it silly to have the troops jump out of the sides and fall 20 feet without an obviously visible gravity lift assisting them, and to replace those two heavy turrets with useless exposed plasma turrets... I also sort of liked the Phantoms from the Halo 2 Beta version's E3 demo, which had the back open so troops would slide down from those two back fins, more like the pelican. The gravity lift was cooler though so I see why they changed it.

Halo Reach > 3 > 4 > 2 Love the green lights on the 4 banshee, but the the texture work on it is really bad compared to the other phantoms on the 360

Halo 3 Phantom obviously. The Reach and 4 Phantom look like mud. They'd pass only for Xbox Phantoms.

Editado por Fallen Hero: 5/14/2014 4:33:12 PMHalo 3 because you could ride them out of levels.

2 RespuestasEditado por Mr Admirals7044: 5/11/2014 11:48:59 PMHalo 3 easily. It's the most fleshed out phantom with a large pallet of colors. Reach and Halo 4 are good too, but they're lacking in detail, most notably being AG effects, and turbine color detailing.

Spirit master race
-
1 RespuestaThey all look the same, to be honest.
-
2 RespuestasHalo 4 Look how good that looks but in some parts of the game it does not look that good

The animation for the phantom exploding in halo 4 was so lazy and mediocre, it just exploded into thin air so definitely not halo 4.
-
1 RespuestaReach had some of the best designs in general.
-
I mean, the H2, 3 and Reach ones were a completely different model. But I liked Reach's.
-
I liked the ones in Halo 3 and Reach.
-
The space Phantoms in Long Night of Solace.

3 RespuestasHow did you not include the Halo ODST master race?
-
16 RespuestasPersonally, I'd go for Reach. Considering in my opinion, Halo Reach has the best graphics out of all the Halos.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por Flawless Cowboy: 5/12/2014 2:02:01 AMI think Reach's looked the best, but I liked Halo 2's the most. I always thought it was strangely primitive for a phantom's side doors to be open all the time and to just disregard the gravity lift.
-
4 RespuestasThe ones in ODST. I wished I could see what Spirits would've looked like in that game.

13 RespuestasDo a comparison of the Ghost. I miss the Halo 3 Ghost because it had that awesome after-explosion. The destroyed Ghost would lie in a broken pile of metal, but after awhile it would begin to shake and make a humming sound. This shaking and humming sound would become more intense until... BOOM! I love it!

Editado por Green Twister: 5/12/2014 8:58:36 PMI like the fork more.
-
1 RespuestaHalo 2 *shudders* That big flying purple death machine was scary as hell but I like the design of it. I also liked the Halo 3 Phantom because of all the lights and stuff on it made it stand out more.

The Phantoms in the LNoS space battle.
-
2 RespuestasHalo 3, but the alternate Phantom model during the LNoS space battle in Reach was fcking cool as shit.
