Ok so this hasn't been talked about yet but in Halo if u quit out to many times u lose ur lvl and in the recent Halo (Halo 4) if u quit out a lot u get locked oug of matchmaking for an hour which is rediculous.. But in WoW if u quit u only get locked out for 15 minutes which is ok cuz u can do something else in the meantime. My question is what do u think the penalty for quitting out of PVP matches should be? If u quit more than say 5 times in a row then u should get locked out for a few minutes, nothing to drastic, but then again if u get locked out of PVP for an hour u can do other things in the world and not really worry about it because u can find something to do for an hour in Destiny, anyways thoughts guys?

Editado por Rex084: 5/2/2014 4:40:18 PMPersonally, I would think it should go down as an automatic loss. Any exp/loot/whatever you picked up during the match gets lost. Also, simply remove the option to quit during a match. Turning off the power to the system would negate that, but even then, with the loss on the record (maybe even add a "quit during match" tag to the losses themselves? Could go a long way in helping you choose teammates that don't just leave during a PvP match) and loss of everything you got in said match would be enough for me. EDIT: Also, as PvP is based around fighting for factions, you should lose all reputation you've earned with the faction you were fighting for.

They quit, they wait 12 hours before they can level up any equipment or character.

2 RespuestasNo penalty Just remove the quit button. Hahahahaha

2 RespuestasI would find it funny if the game keeps record of how many times you quit during a match and after a specific amount of times you get matched into games with other people that quit during matches a lot so that way the people that stick till the end don't get stuck with the quitters

Well to me, a penalty for quitting 5 times in a ROW would be way too lenient. I completely understand that there are times when a person absolutely needs to leave a match because of other obligations, however those times should be rare to anyone responsible enough. To me, it's always been about honor, about following through on your commitments. Seems kind of cheesy in regards to a video game, however once you start picking and choosing when you actually finish something you've started in regards to how trivial it may seem, I don't think that person really holds honor as a core value.
Take away some experience each time you quit, not a huge amount, but enough to deter those who quit when things aren't going their way.
6 RespuestasI'm less focused on a penalty for quitting match making (since I really don't do it), rather I'm very concerned about the idea of being able to join games currently in progress. If this is going to be competitive, the possibility of being thrown in a game where you're getting crushed is ridiculous. Even being put in a game where it's fairly even still, nobody really likes that. The guns and vehicles are always already gone, starting fresh every time just works best.
-
I'm always on the fence about this. I understand you should penalize people who hinder other people's progress by quitting, but there are times (many times) that staying to complete the game only wastes your time. For example: in a game where you are losing 450 to 50 out of say, 500, and the other team is dragging out the game, why would you stay? Why should you be penalized for leaving? At the same time, the match is about to start, it's 5 vs 5 and someone in your PuG leaves. That gives you a 20% disadvantage because that guy was a prick.

I'm loving the cohesion on this subject. Back in Reach everyone was all pissy over the quit ban, but look at it now...
-
I think the temporary ban out of pvp makes total sense, as there are clearly many other things to be done in the game now. It might have been a bummer where matchmaking was all there was, but now this makes it a little fairer.

If you quit a lot your Guardian could be slapped with a certain stupid colour scheme or a badge of shame. This could become an icon of rage quitters or whatever. A mark of shame. This could lead others to shame or shun players who have this hanging over their heads.
-
There are people who have bad interwebs and people who are dirt bags. No matter the penalty they will exist.

1 RespuestaI think there should be some penalty towards quitting too often in a PVP match. Specially if it's on a team mode! I can not tell you how irritating it is when it's a 1v4 for a team mode. I'm not too sure what the penalties could be, but I do think that locking out players for a set amount of time is most likely ideal maybe even taking some glimmer, so that it is not encouraged. Try to be an honorable guardian and fight through your battles! Even if they're horrible, quit when the game is finished.

I don't really see why quitting is a problem at all.
-
3 RespuestasI think that if you quit any match you should be locked out until the match you just quit ends. That way players have no reason to leave. If it's for reasons outside of the game (i.e. Real life) then you won't have I worry anyway. People who consistently quit should be locked out for an hour maybe.
-
Could just derank you..... Didn't they do something in halo4?
-
3 RespuestasI think if you QUIT 5 TIMES iN A ROW you fall into one of a few categories: 1. A very sore loser 2. Not very good, maybe you should avoid PVP all together 3. Just someone I would generally dislike playing with. I mean really if quitting multiple times in a row seems viable to you then why are you so excited for this very TEAM BASED game?
