Lets see...
Destructoid wrote an article about how "tired they are of all the mystery"
Kotaku said "I Played 45 Minutes Of Destiny, And It Was Kind Of Boring"
Bungie released a seven minute gameplay video which revealed nothing major.
A few screenshots here and there.
This is getting sad.
Edit: Forgot to mention today was pretty much just an E3 commercial.

Patricia Hernandez was actively trying to tear down the game at some parts for...not being Titanfall. I would take that article with a grain of salt.

41 Respuestas"Bungie begins the demo at the Tower, a location inside the Traveler" Dude, she obviously knows what she's talking about.

29 RespuestasEditado por ShaughnTr0n: 4/30/2014 9:14:00 PMGood ol' Patricia Hernandez. Famous writer of articles such as: "Learning to love Easy mode" "Why I'm rallying for shorter games" And my personal favorite "I don't want my OKCupid dates to know I like videogames". What a writer.

2 RespuestasShe lost me at "the ever-exciting Titanfall".

People need to stop being so heavily influenced by the hype of a game, and with that being said, people also need to stop being so heavily influenced by the lack of information provided and posts like these. Look at the god damn game for what it is, and decide if your into it or not. Personally I'm into everything this game has to offer, first person gunplay that resembles halos mechanics, an open world, fast vehicles, and deep customization. based off of these facts i am sold on the game. if you aren't, and your just here for the hype of "a big game" your free to not buy the game. its that simple

that's like just your opinion man

>Patricia Hernandez She's literally the worst person in gaming journalism

I lost all hype already I'm just playing titanfall now lol

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NOT KOTAKU NOT FUCKING KOTAKUUUUUUUUU NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOHOHOOOOOOOOOO

Have you not seen the concept art or pictures of things like the citadel it is absolutely breathtaking. Also if they just told us everything what would be the fun in playing the game to find, discover, and unlock all the mysteries. If they told us what happens it would be like a game made by Shakespeare (you know like how he titled all of his plays by choosing the names of the people who die in that play) or do you want something you aren't expecting that might just blow your mind?

Kotaku is a rubbish site in general. She specialises in posting flammable articles. Just another hack trying to get her site more hits
-
I didn't like her journalism at all, but Bungie really should have picked something more enticing to show the news. That being said, I highly enjoyed the gameplay video and she just came off as all around negative, nitpicky, and shortsighted. It's like she's taking this one, short, objective based side mission for what the entire game is going to be. Her constant input of what other FPS do and why Bungie doesn't do those things is what's wrong with FPS and why we can't get something different

1 RespuestaI read the entire article just hoping that it would get me less excited about the game. Because honestly I'm so pumped for Destiny that the wait is excruciating. Didn't work though... How many days left?

20 RespuestasI have this crazy ability to form my own opinions once I've tried something. Shocking, I know. Apparently most people can't do this.
5/10 - only because of the comments.
1 RespuestaI have never even heard of Kotaku until I saw this review. IGN and the other reliable gaming sites said it was fun. We will all get to form our own opinions when beta is released.

7 Respuestas> I wish I was playing the ever-exciting Titanfall instead Confirmed idiot

7 RespuestasThat Kotaku review frustrated me. She seemed very narrow-sighted and judgmental. There are a lot of games that 45 minutes are a bit boring. Also, she just didn't go into any depth, and was very... unhelpful about it.

12 RespuestasEditado por EventHorizon187: 4/29/2014 6:00:26 AMI read her editorial on her experience with the gameplay that she got to play and she said "I played through a single strike mission a couple of times." That means she didn't play a straight 45 minutes of this game. She played at best 22.5 minutes of original content that no one else has played outside of Bungie. That being said I'm sure she didn't get to see any of the character customization options, vehicle customization options, weapon customization options or even a pause screen. And most likely to maintain some level of privacy I'm sure that Bungie restricted the press to particular weapons and character set ups. All I'm saying is...people, don't get up in arms because an inexperienced reporter said her experience was boring. She barely scratched the surface of this game and we all know that. When the beta comes out play it and form your own opinion or play it on a friends console if you don't want to pre order, either way don't let others spoil your fun.

If she thinks Titanfall is exciting then I don't think I'd give much credit to her opinions.

2 RespuestasEditado por OutHouse: 4/29/2014 9:43:44 PMKotaku = absolute effortless trash of an article. "Tower located in the traveler " lawl. Mmmk. Sweet nub cannon. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/apr/28/destiny-hands-on-bungie-xbox-playstationshared-world-shooter Is a far better read. Way more in depth.

1 Respuestabungie is very hush hush and has only let play testers do a single mission or two playing then over and over might get boring. to each his own never base your decision on a review when the game isnt even out and the reviewer isnt playing a full game and they are playing a limited alpha of the game if you want a real review watch gameplay vids after release have your own opinion.

1 RespuestaMost video game rating websites are crap. They are either fanboys themselves or hard critics who do no understand the basic concepts and mechanics of video games. Just like IGN gives basically everything an 8-10 rating, and Kotaku attempted to rip a game that they played for 30min. I have found if you are really interested in something research it and play It yourself. I also think she was attempting to compare destiny to other FPS when it is not one. Showing her own ignorance when rating games. When I played titanfall the first time (which in my mind isn't good or bad.) I threw the ideas of broken guns, hip fire, and the horrible spawns of COD out of my head, and I was suprised the games spawns are amazing and it is very balanced. I found that other people will always rip something they cannot understand, or do not agree with. I don't think she even knows what makes a good game it isn't the smartness of an a.i. Because we all know bungie computers are fun, but not to hard. It is the structure and how they set up the game to interest and capture players eyes. Please don't let her idiocy turn you off.
-
Article is click bait. She writes like she went in expecting something different than what they told her she would get, and also that she expected to find awesome loot in half an hour.
-
This is why I never listen to a video game review you just can't trust it.
-
I don't listen to those bastard reviewers. People that review games "professionally" suck. They always down amazing games and it's like they don't enjoy anything.
