Uninstall bug? They recalled every copy shipped before launch and replaced the discs by hand, didn't they? Cost 'em an arm and a leg (the exact amount was... on a late '08 podcast with Paul Russel... Several thousand or several hundred thousand dollars?), but at least they didn't wipe customer HDDs with the bug.

They've always been a company. Business decisions have to be made, whether everyone likes it or not. Don't hate Bungie for what a handful of old suits did, especially if we don't have the full story.

Old suits? Bungie is an employee-owned company. Typically, primary share holders are on the board of directors. So, it's reasonable to assume Bungie employees are on the board of directors. We're probably talking about Jason Jones, Harold Ryan, and the other Grizzled Ancients. I really don't know, though.

LOL, I love when people on the Internet say things are invalid as if their own comments have any merit or insight. It's speculation, but it's highly likely we're not talking about a bunch of stock investors or "efficiency experts" sitting down with Marty and kicking him in the nuts. It's probable it was his friends and guys he worked directly with over the last 15 years. You're speculating a bunch of old suits did this, and that somehow exonerates Bungie. You don't know. Therefore, by your logic, your own entire comment is invalid, too. So what exactly are we doing posting about it on the Internet. It's not like this is a community forum or anything ... wait. We're all heartbroken and in the dark here. There's no need to fight about it.
