If you were in the Hunger Games, what kind of weapon would you choose (no fire arms) and what kind of special talent would you have?

I'd have some relatively small weapon like a dagger that I could use to catch and block other weapons. My talent is hand to hand combat. I'd probably kill a couple before going myself.

I would have killed a guard and gotten away or died fighting well before I was thrown into the actual games. They all -blam!-ing just stand there within reach almost never on guard.

Weapon: Machetes since I am trained somewhat in eskrima. They could also help me traverse areas with thick undergrowth. Talent: I'm not sure. As a biology undergraduate I do have some basic knowledge in biology and medical treatment, but not really enough to be useful in that situation. I also have a decent knowledge and understanding of nature and know how to fish, but my survival knowledge is limited. Basically, I am SOL.

WEAPON: Archery is a hobby of mine so I'll pick a bow, I also took fencing lessons when I was younger (but that was a long time ago so I think I'll just stick to the bow). SKILL: Fieldcraft (especially tracking) is fun, however it's never really been my strong point, but if I can pick anything then It would be my first pick.

On a side note: I don't know how the books handled it, but I find it odd that it was mentioned two times that Peeta is really strong (the seconed time being an actual demonstration of said strength) yet this was never brought up again throughout the remainder of the film, nor was it even mentioned at all in Catching Fire.

Bow and arrows because I'm good with a bow. I can easily hide and survive off the land while everyone else kills each other.

I'd choose the bow and my talent would be shooting the bow. I actually used to do archery before I had firearms and enjoyed it, I wasn't too bad. I'd still die, though.
