Such a good video, and channel. OT: NV for rollplaying, depth and story, 3 for exploration and atmosphere.
-
New Vegas has the stability of a beat up old car with 3 wheels and half an engine.
-
I enjoyed F3 more, but I understand objectively that NV has superior gunplay and more fluid mechanics. I guess you could say I liked F3 subjectively, but objectively NV has more to offer.

Editado por Logfish111: 3/19/2014 11:30:03 AMBoth are definitely in my top 10 from last-gen. However, NV is better in most things such as the main questline, side quests, general writing and characters, gameplay and factions. F3 has a better setting. But it has to be set aside especially for how atrociously written its main story is. Almost seems as if Bethesda wrote that in about 30 mins.

Fallout 3

1 RespuestaWow, Door has yet to post. Inb4herantsaboutfallout3

1 RespuestaIt all depends on what you're looking for. As I'm pretty sure everyone mentioned it's atmosphere and story in 3 versus size/scale/gameplay for NV.
-
14 Respuestashere is a summary of Fallout 3's main questline Spoilers, obviously
-
7 RespuestasI think New Vegas is slightly better than Fallout 3, but the Strip is pretty atrocious.
-
Slum-dog millionaire the game destroys all
-
1 RespuestaI enjoy both games because I'm not an ass.
-
F3 has a more engaging storyline and interesting wasteland to explore. NV has better weapons, unique weapon models, better combat, more options and better dlc. Lonesome Road is a reason to get NV just by itself.
-
Both games are good. I prefer F3. NV got boring fast.

9 RespuestasEditado por Mmmmm Napalm: 3/19/2014 2:55:12 AMLooks like I'm too late, the Fallout 3 haters have already arrived. Because heaven forbid the series explore the situation in an area other than the damn West Coast. Seriously, why can't people accept the differences between the games, and realize that, wait for it, they're both good.
-
Flip a coin. They're both incredible. :-)
-
1 RespuestaGet both NV and Fallout 3 for the PC. Then you can get a mod that is takes all of the various files form Fallout 3 and installs them in New Vegas, you can switch in-between worlds. But I can't recall what the name of the mod it was.

1 RespuestaEditado por God: 3/19/2014 1:52:55 AMNew Vegas. The only thing Fallout 3 did better was the post-apocalyptic environment and radio song selection. Even then New Vegas was much closer to the original Fallouts in style. What I don't really get is why people praise Fallout 3 for having a much better story, when to me it just came off as a fairly generic and linear FPS plot. New Vegas was much better with its characters and world building, plus it let the player make more meaningful game-altering choices. Just because there isn't some massive-scale battle between good versus evil where you only get the option to be good doesn't mean it has less story than Fallout 3.

2 RespuestasEditado por Mmmmm Napalm: 3/19/2014 3:02:06 AMFallout 3's atmosphere, environment, and music were more interesting to me, but New Vegas has much more content. I'd honestly recommend both, but if you're getting just one, and want a lengthy playthrough, get New Vegas. Be warned, however, as New Vegas has an absurd amount of glitches, and freezes a lot more than Fallout 3. Basically, get both.

2 RespuestasI could talk for ages about this, but I can't <.< So to keep it short and sweet. Fallout 3 Story Setting Nostalgia Gives 40K a run for it's money in terms of grimdark misery and horror New Vegas Gameplay Guns Mechanics Depth Stuff to do Funny Entertaining DLC I'm hoping Fallout 4 is the perfect next gen hybrid of the two >:D
-
20 RespuestasNew Vegas has a smaller space but a lot more content in it, better leveling system, more options such as 'Hardcore Mode,' and a lot different ways the ending can play out. Fallout 3 has a much better environment, better story, better DLC, and the areas feel like they have a lot more in them. Washington D.C. is a much better place to explore than The Strip, which is actually incredibly limited. Both have advantages. I personally prefer Fallout 3, but you really can't go wrong with either.
-
They're both good, but NV does everything 3 does and more.

1 RespuestaEditado por ThankGod4Words: 3/19/2014 2:21:09 AMNew Vegas Branching story, more quests, more... randomness (I think there is a perk called Wild Wasteland that basically make the entire game a insane reference fest, you could compare it to the IWHBYD Skull in Halo)
