I didn't like Call of Dutys 4 onward?
I know TF has a (more) scifi theme, what with the dirty great mechs and all, but it's still a bit more militaristic than the likes of Halo and Half-Life, isn't it? And the gameplay mechanics are similar to CoD, with swift times-to-death and unlocking goodies as you continue playing the game, right? It's also a bit colourless.
Read my opinion and tell me if I should buy it.

2 RespuestasYes. Mobility and Vertical movement alongside the Titans make the game play differently from CoD.

1 RespuestaIf you can't get Titanfall on the PS4 due to EA and M$ sucking each other off for exclusivity, just wait for Titanfall HD sometime in the future. Geddit? 720…1080…lol, i troll.
-
I can back here to remind you that Titanfall Alpha was tits and I can't even imagine what the full title has to offer!
-
Game doesn't look good at all.
-
I have talked to people who got into the alpha beta and they said it was amazing!
-
Yes you will
-
1 Respuestaif u like cod, mechs and jetpacks then you will like titanfall.
-
1 RespuestaI'm with you. I don't like CoD4 onwards but I am looking forward to Titanfall. My biggest gripe with CoD was the cheap killstreaks. Titanfall has a beta coming up soon so just play that to see if you like it.

3 RespuestasYou will die instantly the second a bullet so much as scratches you so yeah it's pretty much the same.
-
Yes. Much about its progression system is still unconfirmed though, so we don't know for sure that you will unlock things just for leveling up.

I think titanfall will be cool because it is competitive like call of duty but has that fun jetpacking and parkoring around fun feel that halo has with giant robots and big explosions and shit, so ya I think it'll be good

1 RespuestaThe IMC is actually not a military, but more of a PMC of Hammond Industries, an interplanetary corporation. The Militia opposes them tearing up their colonies for natural resources and such, so they join up to keep the IMC out. It's not that military. The class system revolves around typical primaries and secondaries, along with an anti-titan weapon. You get a couple perks for your pilot and a couple for your titan, but they aren't like the ones in CoD and revolve around how you interact with the map and your titan. There are AI that are regularly deployed on the map who you basically just harvest points off of, but they do not count as the typical kill. When not piloting your titan, it will go into an auto pilot mode and provide some protection for you when in guard mode. It's a very fun game and I highly recommend it.

9 RespuestasI can't get an X1 until summer. This game is the reason I'm upset.
-
I'm sure they know how hard Ghosts flopped so they will probably try staying away from it. Or at least the most recent CoDs

3 RespuestasChances are your going to die a lot. You can tell its a game where team work and strategy will be more important the individual strength like CoD
-
7 RespuestasThere is evidence of an open beta... so you can try it out and see if you like it.

9 RespuestasEditado por burritosenior: 1/23/2014 6:57:17 PMI have you beat. I have not liked a CoD since CoD2! I was not excited for Titanfall but... I am now. It looks like a fresh twist on old gameplay that will really give it some lasting power. So it will be my Xbone's next game probably. I say probably not because I may not get it, but because I may get another first!
-
Probably not. Titanfall has the same kind of progression system and ADD-style action. I'm sure the game will also feature a slight obsession with all things military. The mechs are a cool twist, but I doubt they will be enough to distract you from the core of the game. It's being made by *the* CoD developers. I don't think anyone should be too surprised that it is very much like CoD.

3 RespuestasEditado por Folk: 1/23/2014 7:01:42 PMI loved Call of Duty up to and including Black Ops but then the series grew stale to me... I played the Titanfall Alpha and I can tell you that it hit all the right spots when it came to offering the fast paced action of CoD without all of the gimmicks that have been piled on to that series over the past few years... If you once enjoyed CoD but grew tired of it, Titanfall is probably for you. The game and it's mechanics feel very natural and well placed. The mechs aren't Overpowered and are more of an extension of yourself. Everything including the jump and wall climbing mechanics felt great and not gimmicky like some people believe they will. It honestly gave me the same feeling of playing Halo CE for the first time again... It felt familiar but it was an entirely new experience from the start. The choice is yours OP... Are you prepared for Titanfall
