Why does the majority of you guys dislike halo 4
Seriously i love the game alot and have played it quite a bit. You ever think maybe their trying something new instead of being like cod and just reskining their first game they made? No all their games are different and have their ups and downs. The main reason i think you guys hate halo 4 is because bungie left it. True bungie did leave it but they left it to make a different game, destiny. They didnt leave because they no longer like halo they still love it. Give 343 a chance or a second chance because theres bound to be screw ups on their first try and it was still great. So please dont be biased ,and please dont abandon the xbox and microsoft. And no hate comments.

Ultimately, it's about how the game itself turns out. Bungie made Halo: Reach, and that wasn't exactly well-received either.

5 RespuestasIt has nothing to do about bungie, has nothing to do about being bad at the game, and certainly has nothing to do about being unable to adapt. Those 3 misconceptions I see get thrown around a lot: "well you hate it because it's not made by bungie!" "well you hate it because you must be bad at it!" "well you hate it because you can't adapt to change!" all fallacies from people who have never clearly looked at the reasons why we hate Halo 4 so much. The real reason is Halo 4 had BAD change. There is such thing as good change and bad change. Not all change is good. It blows my mind so many newcomers to Halo think that any type of changes made in Halo must mean it's better, faster, and more intense! No no NO. Some things were better left alone because they weren't broken in the first place. There was no reason for some of the changes they made in 4 that Halo 1-3 kept and made Halo actually play like a Halo game. Simple stuff like flinch instead of descope, join in progress, no visible trueskill, no split between social and ranked playlists, and so much more.

I hate it because of: - A crappy single player story (lame antagonist, enemies which were cheap and not fun to fight, plot-holes galore) - The multiplayer's net-code being a step back (everything's hitbox is made MASSIVE to make up for lag) - Too large a variety in spawning loadouts. I prefer the Halo feel of having a utility weapon and fighting for map control to grab specialization weapons like shotties, snipers, and rockets - 343 took forever to implement no brainer features like static weapons on static timers, and red Xs - No classic CTF/Assault - Overdone aim assist/bullet magnetism - Ability to spawn with OHK secondary weapons (or spawning with Plasma Pistols) - Ordnance drops in general and how lopsided they can be (enemy chooses from Damage Boost, Incineration Cannon and Beam Rifle and I choose from Needler, Speed Boost, and Pulse Grenades) - Bland maps which tended to be too large most of the time - Killcams which didn't work That's all I can think of for now, but I'll gladly play Reach over H4 any day (and have been doing just that).

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell you that armor mods, ordnance drops, loadouts are the exact same as perks, care packages and classes with a different name. Those people were likely hoping for a new start with 343.

Because the multiplayer is atrocious, Spartan Ops is lackluster, and the lack of Custom Game options and Competitive playlists also made the game worse. Oh, and unbalance. Campaign is wonderful, though.

1 RespuestaI gave 343i plenty of time to fix that game. (Look at my Service Record) I'm not being biased. Halo 4 is a bad game. Compared to all games, it gets an 8. Compared to other AAA titles, it gets a 5. Compared to other Halo games, it gets a 2. It's not Halo. Not by my definition of Halo, that is.

1 RespuestaEditado por xTreasureCAT: 1/14/2014 9:34:31 PMnot because bungie, its because 343 mest halo up. i played halo4 when it came out. i stopped at lvl 100. they do everything by points not KILL like Halo has always been.. i had 32 kills in regicide and still lost to a guy with 12 kills. thats not the halo way. btw i hate cod. im all out halo, but now its all out halo games bungie made. i have the halo 360s and bungie jacket i won from a halo tournament. i have walls full of halo posters and shirts. but now halo has gone down since 343 took over. bungie knows how to make halo work.. kills not points. that's why i don't like halo4. and the armor all looks crappy. halo reach has better more realistic looking armor.

People bought it expecting it to play like the other Halo installments, and not a spin-off. And the excuse of saying "well we don't want the same game over and over" can just stop. Halo Ce through 3 all had their differences yet played alike, as it stayed on it's traditional level playing field. It's what people expect out of Halo. Instead, they got the sequel of the spin-off gameplay of Reach. Not Halo 3.

I hate Halo 4 and all the rest of the story that 343i has published or put out on its own merits. It has nothing to do with Bungie not doing it. I'd hate it regardless of who did it, if Bungie had been the ones who made Halo 4 or put out Glasslands, Thursday War, Silentium, Halo 4, Spartan Ops, Initiation......etc. I'd still hate it. And they've already had their chance and blown it with Halo 4. I was giving them a chance before then despite how much the story was going down hill with everything being released in the lead-up to the game. Halo 4 [i]was[/i] their second and last chance with me, and they blew it and have continued to do nothing but blow it since then. I couldn't care less about the multiplayer, I have no more issues with Halo 4's multiplayer than I do with any of the rest of the Halo series. There are problems I have with it, but the multiplayer has nothing at all to do with why I hate and dislike 343i and their run with Halo.
