3 RespuestasI've been waiting for the exact opposite. I want a Kinect without the Xbox One. Good thing support for PC is coming out this year, methinks.
-
4 RespuestasThey probably won't. Have you considered PC gaming?
-
lol I do exactly what this guy does with Netflix at night.

1 RespuestaEditado por Sapid: 1/15/2014 2:35:17 AMKinect is actually pretty nice. I'm glad they have one with every console. Half the people I know IRL that don't like Kinect don't even have an Xbox One to try it.
-
42 RespuestasIt will never happen, microsoft don't want to divide their user base, they've already said
-
it probably is true you don't even need the Kinect on so why not?
-
4 RespuestasIf this is true, I'll also buy one! But something tells me MS isn't smart enough for that...
-
23 RespuestasWon't be happening, sorry people. Mystical is right in saying that
MS did say early 2014 there will be a new xbox one version
, but it's the driver version which is coming out, not an entirely revisited platform. Why on earth would they release a new Xbox One so close to the successful launch of the One as it is? Y'all are too gullible. Besides, I'll keep my Kinect thanks. "Xbox, record that" or "Xbox answer" for Skype calls are two features I never want to be without again.
-
4 Respuestasif you have an Xbone version of a game and the 360 version of the game with the same gamertag... do the achievements stack for higher score?
-
13 RespuestasI hope so. Either way, I'm buying an X1, doubt I'll ever use the Kinect though.
-
3 RespuestasI doubt it will ever happen
-
1 RespuestaOmg I'd so go Xbox one but only if the price for this one was lowered to at the max £400, anyone know a price, even if its not accurate or even a guess?
-
13 RespuestasWell then if they are doing that then everyone who calls the ps4 a ps3.5 have to call the x1 an X360.5
-
Depends on how it sells over the next few months. If Sony gains an insurmountable lead then they'll need to get to $399. Microsoft has shown that if they need to they'll flip flop.
-
23 RespuestasIt won't happen. The interface is horrible I remember IGN I think complaining that they couldn't find the setting section with the controller and had to do it by voice commands. Its also the only way to do any of the snap to features right? I don't remember anybody saying anything about a button press to bring up another program window in reviews. If its not faster than your normal remote to snap to cable or netflix or other applications then it ruins any point to that feature. Also you would be removing the only hardware component the xbox one uses that is superior to the PS4 equivalent. Its a system that is too focused around always having kinect to ditch kinect.
-
I would say a Kinectless Xbox One might be possible. If it does happen, it won't be anytime soon.
-
3 RespuestasIf they hadn't forced the kinect into the Xbone in the first place, I'd have been more inclined to get one rather than jump to the PS4. Either way, I'm more than happy with the PS4 and Sony are doing a great job imo. I might get an Xbone without a kinect in a few years time but we'll see.
-
Selling their Xbox One console without Kinect would also admit that the PS4 is doing better than they are. Which by sales.. is how it is going.
-
Never going to happen. MS stated more than enough times that the Kinect is not just a camera add on but is part of the system. In fact, there is RAM devs can use for their games if they want inside Kinect. This doesn;t mean Kinect needs to be on and the player uses the device literally. Think of it like the newer games on the 360 REQUIRE you to have a HDD drive or you can't play.
-
3 RespuestasWell MS did say early 2014 there will be a new xbox one version. It was rumored this is the one without a Kinect. If so, it would be the package I'd buy. I'd never need a kinect, never use it, and it sure beats not owning one instead of having a waste of space for a piece of crap I'd never setup in the first place. Maybe they finally realized the kinect is holding some customers back and since they want to make a profit they are cutting the crappy kinect in a certain xbox one package for those of us who don't want it. I would be happy if it was possible to buy for a cheaper price an xbox one without a Kinect. More bang for my buck ... then again I'm still not buying an xbox one until next year or late this year when the game library actually gets beefed up. I hear they still have a lot of interface issues to fix as well.
-
Editado por banj0: 1/13/2014 6:08:12 AMI doubt it, but at the same time I also won't be surprised (not to mention happy) if they ditch the Kinect as an essential for the console.
-
I doubt it. Doesn't the Xbox One use voice commands. I know you can use the controller, but wouldn't it be a waste without the Kinect.
-
1 RespuestaThey said they would never do this since the Kinect serves a key role in the Xbox One. Maybe you can get one used without a Kinect or one that is cheaper and then toss the Kinect.
-
22 RespuestasHopefully it'll never be true
