5 RespuestasYou need concepts before everything: Writing, staging, building, filming, and every other part of making a game. Concepts go hand in hand with storyboarding and the lot.
-
Concept art will always be a vital component of design in any field.
-
4 RespuestasConglaturations Op, you have successfully created the stupidest post of the month.
-
2 RespuestasNooooooooooooooooo.......... I wanna ponder and be jealous of your art though. :-(

3 RespuestasConcept art is essential. In programming, you can't just start coding, you have to use or create a design pattern or you'll get lost and your productivity will be reduced. In the same way, concept art directs and guides the 3D team and allows the entire team to get a feel for how their game will look and feel.

1 RespuestaITT: A 12 year old who thinks he can draw but is scared that concept art isn't going to be used because he's -blam!-ing 12 and doesn't know shit.
-
I hope not, considering that is my ambition to become.
-
1 RespuestaNo? Why would it "die"?
-
4 RespuestasNah, that kinda of art will always be needed
-
5 RespuestasI think it well exist safely for the next 50 years, at least. It takes more than just a good story to make a game, there needs to be a defined art style as well. And rather than spend hundreds of hours creating a map and scenery and characters from scratch in a 3D program, it's much easier to make a speedpaint of a possible map or character, so the design team can give it a yea or nay.
Ps I have Been told this by a person on da.
I'm a person on a DA as well, a unless you were talking with Ninjantic, Sakimichan, Yummei, Alexiuss, or Sandara, they are just a normal person like you or me ;)

1 RespuestaThe form of which concept artist present their ideas may change but there will always be the need for them.
