I think call of duty ghost had the best as an individual, for a series of games (if not halo) I'd go with gears of war.

I agree Ghosts = best campaign of CoD.

Are you kidding me? Take away the prettier graphics, and Ghosts had the absolute most boring and uninspired campaign I've ever played, and I've played every campaign since CoD 4.

I mean with the story, your not trying to kill a terrorist like in black ops 2 and MW3. Odin, ghosts, and the protagonist's family made it a whole lot more interesting to me personally.

Yeah, I read about that and thought it was an interesting premise. But they gave zero attention to making their characters stand out. Your brother and dad and all the other Ghosts (except for Ajackxkxkcxks (?) who's a black guy who dies right away, derp) are burly white dudes. I know that's exactly what Yahtzee said about the game... but it's true! At least in the Modern Warfare series, Price stood out with a fancy hat and facial hair, while Soap had a mohawk and Mackarov never wore a hat. In this game, characters are introduced so quickly and look so similar to other characters and wear outfits that are so generic that you barely notice anyone. But my biggest problem with the game was the level design, gunplay, and story. All the assault rifles felt the same, which is a huge shame because the majority of the game you're only allowed to use assault rifles. Black Ops 2 introduced a cool feature for its campaign where you could choose a loadout at the start of a level... what happened to that!? I don't expect them to bring over the quasi-RTS level design, but the weapons and level design in this game were just so BLAND. About the closest thing to exciting this game had was the skyscraper level... I honestly kind of got a kick out of walking down the side of the skyscraper and getting to move around and shoot as I pleased, and I really liked the part with the strobe light and was deeply saddened to see it turn off and never see it again. Modern Warfare 2 had us racing against the clock to save the White House from a bombardment while epic Hans Zimmerman music played. Black Ops had you storm your way out from the deepest pits of a Russian prison camp and toward freedom. Modern Warfare 3 let players march into battle as a freaking JUGGERNAUT feeling like a total badass as you backed up your buddy with a clear-set goal. Black Ops 2 featured a campaign with alternate endings and different gameplay for levels depending on decisions in previous levels. And Call of Duty 4 set a nuke off in your face followed by the most legendary sniping/stealth missions in the franchise's history. And what does Ghosts have? Okay, I'll admit, the underwater part was kind of neat... but definitely the worst of the bunch. God, I rant too much. Need some sleep!

I agree with your points, but I believe Treyarch made the black ops series when activision made MW and Ghost so it angered me as well with the load outs, but it did make some sense cuz it wasn't there thing. I think the best thing is the cliff hanger ending, so there has to be another game and they could improve where they went wrong.
