It's not that simple. It's not a choice but you're not exactly born gay (as far as I know). It [i]could[/i] be a recessive gene but I highly doubt that. It has to do with hormones which come into play after birth and up until you reach the point of maturity. I'm not an expert on the subject but it's definitely not a choice. And keep in mind that there are a lot more sexual orientations than just homo- and heterosexual.

if you're familiar with nature vs nurture, you should've done nurture as an option to. btw i think it's genetics because homosexuality is very common in the animal kingdom.

I wouldn't quite say it is a choice, but I don't think it is purely genetic either. I think it is a simple case of both nature and nurture that might have influenced their lifestyle. Maybe some events led to their feelings or maybe they have just always felt that way for some reason. There are too many variables in the situation to credit it to being sheerly one way or another. Although more times than not it isn't quite a choice, it's just who they are and how they feel.

People are like roses, that's what I have to say. If I take a rose bulb (or whatever they call it) and plant it in the ground, the environment and the way I treat it will affect how it grows, but in the end, it's still a rose.
