So far the only thing that sets the game apart from Halo is the shared world aspect of the game. Now that space travel is confirmed to be nothing more than cut-scenes we are left with a bland sci-fi shooter that Bungie is shoving out their asses and labeling as "revolutionary". Here we go to shove you into linear scenarios like in the E3 gameplay. There's an entire world to explore but we thought this would be the best thing to show you guys first. As for public events don't even get me started on how boring those will get within a few weeks.
THIS IS A NO-BUY FOR ME.
(Before you bungie fanboys get a raging hard one and start typing with your dick instead of your brain, just think about it. Do you really feel that Destiny is setting itself apart enough from Halo? Don't worry, if a Bungie employee sees your comment they won't care what you think. In fact, defending them doesn't guarantee you a spot as a forum ninja.)

1 RespuestaI think the Op was from another planet. Apparently his troll post seems to be written out of his Jimmies as he proclaims us to be doing. Like most makes assumptions on what he thinks he knows instead of what is fact. I love these guys telling Bungie what there game is then trying to poop all over others who think differently.*Backs up a Dump truck of mature on the OP* You are unoriginal go back to the planet of Trolls you came from mutant!.

1 RespuestaIdgaf if it's making great innovations, space rpg is all I need in life, one designed by bungie is just 20x better.

Your post is uninspired, unoriginal, lacking in content, childish, etc. Your "skill" level of trolling belongs in the Flood. Get good at trolling, then come back. *Not trying to be mean, I just hate seeing bad trolls.* Have an awesome day.

Editado por Oddball: 11/7/2013 9:55:41 PMSo there's no space travel in the game so you're not buying it. WOW! If you seriously want space travel so much go and make some game yourself with space travel in it. So your logic is a game without space travel is a bland sci fi shooter. If you look at games such as Halo 3 it had no space travel and it was a massive blockbuster game. Also I think Bungie stated that they wanted to focus on FPS aspect of the game instead of space travel.
troll
Edit: And yes I'm a Bungie fanboy and I have thought about it. You're just some idiot who can't appreciate great games. You can't tell that the entire game will be crap just becuase it dosen't have space travel. Also if a Bungie employee saw your comment they would not give a damn either way. You think they are going to listen to some guy who's raging. If you want them to listen to you make a thread AND ACTUALLY GIVE THEM CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!

There was a game not to long ago that put out a poll asking the fans if they wanted manual space flight. The community responded overwhelmingly and arguably that the game needed it. Within a few months to launch they threw together and ill thought out and ill implemented space sim that to the vast majority destroyed the game. I'm speaking of the mmo Star Wars the Old Republic.

13 RespuestasConsider this: In the space between planets, there's really no point in flying your own ship. You're probably traveling at some hypothetical faster than light speed, and there would be nothing to do. That only leaves orbital flight, and in-atmosphere flight. If they allowed in-atmosphere flight, it would negatively impact exploration in Destiny. Say there is some weapon hidden on the top of some mountain, and you have to trek up some overgrown trail to reach the summit. That could all be skipped if you can just fly up to the top. So the only place left to allow flight is in orbit around planets or other objects. But think about how sterile an environment that is. Sure the background will change, depending on where you are, but space is otherwise empty. There are no paths to follow, doors to unlock, treasures to find. The only activity of any real entertainment value would be dog fights. Now sure, a dog fight would be fun once or twice, but I don't think it's something people would end up going back to much. Not when there's a planet below you with loot to find.

2 RespuestasGo play star cititzen. It has space travel and fights as well as landing on planets.
-
6 RespuestasDon't buy it then. Mass Effect doesn't have space combat/travel and it's great, SWTOR doesn't let you control your ship between planets and the game isn't less fun because of that. Some people think that being able to control your ship would be better... I bet you would stop caring about that shit a few days after playing the game for the first time. Destiny is all about ground exploration, finding misteries, exploring "dungeons" and playing with other people. If you don't like that concept you may well go play EVE online or Star Citizen, there you have full control of your ship. Have fun.

Looks to be a classic case of "I've made a judgement on a game I know barely a thing about" syndrome. I'll see you online gr8b8m8 (gr8t name btw!)
-
1 RespuestaAnd the ability to fly your ship would have suddenly made it revolutionary?
-
Tbh I was hyped when I barely knew anything about it but the more info that is released the less hyped I am on the game. Probably not a day one buy but I'll pick it up eventually.

Editado por Black Eye Hawk: 11/6/2013 3:21:24 PM
The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions. Leonardo da Vinci
Destiny will not be a good as a game as the one some people have envisioned in their heads. Instead of making the game into something that it's not, read some articles, interviews and watch some videos in order to understand the direction Bungie is taking with Destiny. In the end you cannot bash Bungie for a feature or gameplay that you were so sure was in but never existed in the first place. The game is in a pre alpha stage and the information that we have at this time is limited. We all need to be a little bit objective at this point. Instead of moaning of not having a feature that was never in, focus on the facts that we do know.

Who cares. I'm actually glad that thee is no manual spar travel. It would get boring, traveling through space for an hour or two just to reach mars
-
Lovely rant. It reminds me of Tom Cruise in that one movie (I think it's Jerry McGuire) in the office scene: "Who's coming with me..... WHOS COMING WITH ME!" It's like you're making your plea to others to not buy this game. Hey... By all means go for it. If you think your 'ant' of a post is going to unravel Bungie and it's followers you may need some 'help'. You're free to your opinion but in less than... Say a week (that's being generous) your little post here will be buried like the pharaohs of old.

Editado por zellatron89: 11/6/2013 11:14:30 AMI was really excited for space ships. Especially when I heard them be compared to your horse in a western. That made it seem for sure that we would be able to fly them manually. I wasn't really hoping for space flight between planets, but I was hoping for competitive modes like dogfights in space, or a story mission or firefight game type that would involve cooperative space fighting with your fire team. To all those who argue that Destiny is a FPS and if we want space flight go somewhere else and it's an FPS not a Space Flight Sim, look at what Destiny is doing: blurring lines. Mythic and Science Fiction, Shooter and RPG and MMO elements. Why can't they mix in a little spaceship action? All this said, I am still more excited for this game than any other game on the horizon. I can't say for sure if it will be "revolutionary" or not as I have not experienced it first hand, but if they execute it the way they are talking it still will be regardless of manual space flight. I think calling this game a no-buy at this point is jumping the gun a little, especially when there will be a beta for you to test it out.
-
I am, too, very disappointed that there will be no space-flight in Destiny. However, why pass up a great game JUST because of that? You might be missing out. (I hope I didn't just feed a troll, but I think I didn't.)
-
You want to fly and fight in space go play EVE Online and STFU!!!
-
Good dont play the game while your at it maybe you would want to delete your account in bungie.net since you dispise the game. It would be a win win ... you wont play the game when it comes out and you wont post idiotic things on this forum and we wont be hearing from you a Win Win PS F off!!!

1 RespuestaI'm just curious as to what other games you buy. Is a game a 'no buy' if it's not innovative? If a game isn't revolutionary, you don't buy it? The game will be great, and even if it is a lot like Halo, that's a good thing, don't you think? Becuase the current people with the Halo IP aren't that good at making Halo. I don't think this game will be a Halo clone. Will it have some of the same type of gameplay? Yeah sure. Will it be drastically different and make story/co-op fun, HELL YES. Will it be more than just competitive multi-player with a campaign smacked on? HELL YES it will. That's the difference here, and that's why I'm going to give it a buy.
-
Vhat? This is "Destiny". I know no "Halo".

Got 233 words per minute... without a hard on. And it's impossible to type with a brain... literally.
-
You are actually not buying the game because you can't fly a space ship? I disagree with your reasoning but you aren't stupid for it.
-
I wasn't planning on doing to much flying my spaceship anyway... I want to play the game for the FPS and RPG elements. Not the asteroids element
-
Let me tell you that typing with your dick or brain is very unsanitary, I use my hands.
