should either be "whilst failing to capitalize" or "as you fail to capitalize" you have to mention that both events are occurring at the same time; you've mentioned a general trait of mine, but a singular action before it. ... i don't think i explained that correctly (or even in english terms but i'm too lazy to think at 1:54AM), but read the sentences over with the corrections, they certainly sound better
