You don't "learn to draw", it's a birth thing as that guy below said; you've either got it or you haven't. Trust me, I learnt the hard way.

That's complete bull.

Nope. I drew consistently as a hobby for about 13 years, and never improved, blindly thinking I was good at it the whole time. Then I decided to study art and got put in a class with people who really were good at it, and was made to do stuff that required really having those skills. As it would happen, I didn't, and I failed.

I'm pretty much the same. Drawing has been my hobby for my whole life. I was in AP Art in high school which is funny considering, looking back, my work was terrible. Went to college, majored in art, learned how to actually study the subject and applied myself. Now I'm much better. Currently in my 3rd year. Just because it didn't work out for you doesn't mean it's inbred magic.

What? Why? :((
-
Why is it a "birth thing"? I dunno, that's just the way the universe works. Or the way genetics work I guess. I'm not sure.
-
-blam!-. The. Universe.

I think you're referring to being able to create something on the spot, not being able to draw.
