The Syrian government got lucky. 'Murica will get them soon enough. Flying on a bald eagle with bacon, The Goob.

Woo! Peace wins again!

Seeing Kerry last night say that the only way to stop a military strike would be to immediately agree to hand over all chemical weapons, with a tone of sarcasm as if it was absurd to even say it out loud, makes this announcement even better.
-
6 RespuestasI'm still completely for military intervention. It's not enough that Al-Assad can't use chemical weapons, we should be sending a message that committing genocide by the thousands is wrong regardless of what weapons are used. Whether Syria used chemical weapons or not should be completely irrelevant. Also, I completely hate how people think this is "just another Iraq." It's a totally different scenario with blatant evidence of WMD use (see source) and a death toll of over at least 100,000. It's just too bad some people care more about taxes more than human lives. Back to the mortar strikes. YAY
-
58 RespuestasIf this is true and Obama goes on camera to announce to the entirety of America that they're no longer going to intervene with Syria, nothing will change. People will still bitch about Obama being bad and find something else to whine about that's related to him.
-
The US will find another reason to invade. Kerry's gonna get it so hard for this he won't be able to walk anymore.
-
2 RespuestasEventually Assad will remove himself, only to have another kebab take his place.

1 RespuestaDoesn't matter, we all know Al-Assad nukes the capital in the end...
-
2 RespuestasI'm not taking this seriously unless I see results on Syria's end. I even doubt the Syrians will just give up their VX gas since its my understanding that they view their stockpile as a deterrent against Israel.
-
And Obama finds another way to go all gun-ho and attack Syria.

2 RespuestasEditado por SuperIrish: 9/10/2013 6:19:16 PMThis is a good thing. Kind of. Sure, it's not exactly stopping the horrible killings by the ol' bullets and bombs, but it certainly shows reasoning behind Bashy. However... it could be just that Bashy is afraid of American/French intervention potentially toppling him, and so has decided to back down to a level considered "not worth" intervening by them. Either way, if intervention happens or doesn't, the Americans will look bad, and it would fall back to Obama.
And somehow Francois Holland gets no flak at all! Good old media/everyone sending all the blame America's way...
Now we can go back drone bombing children in peace. At least they won't die this specific way.
