Honestly, I'm surprised it has taken this long. Microsoft lost billions on the original Xbox, and X1 is poised to flop again.

10 RespuestasX1 is poised to flop? OP pls, you know nothing. Companies make and lose millions and billions of dollars frequently. You cant expect them to constantly be earning a shitload of money year after year after year.

13 RespuestasReally? That's weird. Because the last time I checked, The Xbox division was dissolved completely in Microsoft's corporate restructure. The Xbox is now treated as a normal Microsoft product, It's production has been divided between the software division, And the engineering division. These are the only two major divisions at Microsoft now. The restructure occurred to bring all of Microsoft's products closer together. The same division that works on Windows now houses Office, Smart Glass, Xbox OS, and any other piece of Microsoft software, so that they can deliberate more concisely. All hardware shares a single division as well. So, what exactly was Microsoft going to sell?

would be happy to see master chief in smash bros

3 RespuestasI see the forums are now experts on corporate shareholder activism and profit/loss. Carry on, it amuses me.

Wait, increasing the subscription fee wasn't enough?

19 RespuestasAlso, this idiot can't do anything with 1% of share holding. That would be like a McDonald's franchise owner in my home town trying to get rid of chicken nuggets because they don't sell or something.
-
This would allow Microsoft to focus on other products and mainly Windows.
Are they aware Windows 8 sucks?

10 RespuestasEditado por BritLemon: 8/24/2013 1:38:14 AMBecause that'll happen. 1% share holding? lol. What about the other 99%, I'm pretty sure they'll have more leverage than that guy.

7 RespuestasThat source doesn't seem very reliable. An investor with a 1% stake in the company could launch a public war against the company over one employee? No, the corporation has plenty of protection from that sort of thing.
-
11 Respuestas*Says Microsoft lost billions on 360 *Sony did the same with PS3 *Both company always loses money on console sales Don't be a idiot please
-
2 RespuestasEditado por BerzerkCommando: 8/24/2013 12:27:50 PMSo if they are going to get rid of the Xbox then why would they spend all this money on developing the X1 and then mass producing it? I call bullshit on this.
-
8 RespuestasA 1% share holder wants this to happen... you need over 50% to agree for that to happen. In other words, it's not going to happen, especially since despite what you think, the Xbox divisions is a huge success, brining in a lot of cash. It's the other areas of the company that are failing, like Windows 8.

5 RespuestasCan we sell Wii Us instead? Because Nintendo isn't going to.

I would think Microsoft would have noticed that their console division wasn't making money after the first ten years of it. Colour me unperturbed.
