If you indeed are a legitimate member, why did you join this website? It's evil!
By the way, unnecessary thread is unnecessary.

Are there any necessary threads on this site posted by members? "/

Editado por Decimator Omega: 7/21/2013 6:40:37 AMNot as much in the off-topic section. You won't really find any necessary threads here. This place went to shit after the update. Bungie.net use to be a website that was under a dictatorship by the moderators and the web team. It had firm rules and was never as laid back as this. This new website is a freaking nightmare. The old website can be found here. That was our home, then at the beginning of this year right on what is now known as halo.bungie.net, Bungie told us that they were doing a small maintenance and we won't sign in for awhile, but it will be brief, in other words it would be quick. They didn't tell us that THEY were building THIS HEEP OF SHIT website and that we'd be forced to beta test and eventually stick with it for months, and eventually became permanent. Not like it matters anyway, this forum has the most drama, even in the past, but now since it's really really hard to get banned now (unless you post any form of porn, then it's easy) this place is now far worse than some drama queens posting. It's a cesspit, a prison riot so to speak. Too long didn't read version? This website sucks, old site was better but the community still sucks, in fact they suck even more now.

I actually prefer the new site- it works better for me. I didn't like how I, as a female was treated on the old Bungie forums. Now, I can post, and my posts don't get removed by mods who have something against females posting their thoughts and opinions.
-
Great post. So true. Mods didn't follow the rules. They did their own thing and each went their own way. No continuity. Nothing was streamlined.

Unless this account is an alt of yours, you're still new here and you've never experienced the old website, obviously. Some of the moderators back then on the old site were biased with their bans, sure, however it was at the very least a working system. It worked. Now, all you get is just a useless mute button and believe me, it doesn't help at the slightest. Obviously when it comes to this forum (which was once known as The Flood) you have a mix of assholes in here and a lot of socially awkward male teenagers, if you were to admit you were female and you made a thread, you'd get a crap load of replies probably asking for pics, and then you'd have some jerks on the side as well, and that would happen even right now, especially with the forum rules gone and these new site rules watered down to something way too simple. I guess that's the power of the internet for you.

To me, as long as the moderators aren't being overbearing, I'm ok with the site how it is. Sure, there are some threads I'd rather not see, but I just ignore them and move on. I think people will always try to push the limits and it's important to not take them seriously. If you take them seriously, they win. That is their goal- to try and get people to take them seriously.

Editado por Decimator Omega: 7/21/2013 11:44:11 PMHow is that possible? Once you sign up you're here forever, and you signed up in 2011 on the old site. Yes, I looked into it, The account is still there along with everyone else's before this stupid new site was born. You can abandon it sure, but I believe it's impossible to completely get rid of it. Unless.... there is a way now? I'd like to know because the day Bungie creates a delete button to delete our profiles, guess what I'm doing.

Oh, or maybe I had another one tied to my old gamer tag, idk. Anyway, I was around for a little bit in 2006 or so, but then I left when I realized females were being seriously discriminated against by mods.
-
Interesting. I didn't know that mods had a history of discriminating female members especially if there is a female moderator.
-
They wouldn't let any of us post because they were trying to keep the flaming to a minimum.
-
Well it was a dictatorship. Looks like even way before I joined this website sucked.
-
A forum can only be as evil as its members make it. I joined because I wanted to find out what people thought of Destiny.
-
Don't listen to him, have fun, and do things if you enjoy them. The community doesn't treat anyone like crap unless they are begging for attention or being unfunny trolls, and even then the worst thing you can do here is take this place too serious, remember that.
-
I DIDN'T ASK FOR JACKSHIT ON THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED WHEN I FIRST JOINED!!!
-
Well you see, this is where you -blam!-ed up @taking this place too srs.
-
-
Been here since 2008. Community treated me like shit ever since. Private groups are the only thing that will keep making you come back here. I speak the truth.
-
But I wuv u Deci Godziwwa wuvs u
-
Ahhh Godzilla. The replacement of a decimator. Hell the equivalent of a decimator.

-
Ya- ppl on the internets feel like they can get away with bad behavior, so they give forums their worst. I'm actually pleasantly surprised about how much better Bungie's forums have gotten since 2008.
-
Trust me, you haven't met most of the community yet. You'll think they're nice and accepting, when really they're not. And by community, I mean the regulars.
-
Your not going to bring up the felicia inccident right
-
Oh, I've met plenty already. What I've liked so far is that the moderators have been totally chill about female posts. I used to hardly be able to post anything without it getting blocked for being too female.
-
'Too female' Do you mean attention whoring? I think that's the phrase that you are looking for, and I don't think that was a bannable offence, could be wrong. I do admit that it was irritating however.
