Bungie destroyed every single private group on the site with the update, save one that left the site and another in the process of leaving.

Who left?
-
That would be MLP.
-
Huh? What do you mean?

Editado por Ouch: 7/9/2013 9:41:31 PMThe private community used to be made up of a number of active groups/sub-communities. Then Bungie implemented this new website design and it killed all but two of them. Both of the remaining ones have left or are leaving because of how bad the site design is. Actually I should clarify that the private community as a whole was dying with the darkness nonsense that came for years before the new website. The new design was just the nail in the proverbial coffin.

Wow, that's sad. I wish there was still some group that's not totally full of assholes to join.
-
Sapphire hasn't moved yet, but unfortunately you won't be able to get in with that alt.
-
K, here's my original. Catbug I, tried to get in a couple months ago, when I first came here.
-
You want me to believe that's your first ever account when your second post ever was one where you gave an opinion on a user only an active member would know? Come on, mate. I've been doing this for some four years now. I wasn't born yesterday.
User 1: You're already banned fool User 2: *facepalm* go take your ban like a man idiot User 3: try another forum User 4: GTFO Ninja: *bans SecondClass to no avail*
I can read, is it really such a crime to try and seem knowledgeable? But nevermind, if you're gonna be so pretentious, keep the group for yourself.
-
I sincerely apologize if you're legitimately a new member. I'm not trying to be rude, only keep my forum clean in a place where 99 out of 100 accounts that appear in my queue are hostile. I hope you can understand my position.
-
I suppose I can, but why would there be hostile people trying to join your group? I know a lot of people don't like Jay (I don't see why though, she says a lot of stuff I can follow) but why should that reflect negatively on your group?
-
People hate what is successful. Most people who enter Sapphire are surprised to find that the conversations there are fairly normal. It's what you'd expect from a group of 18 year olds (which is about our average age) gathered in one place with their friends. We go on vacations together and shit. We laugh at people who get butthurt about Jay. We play shit online. We're just a large community with cool people. That's all. The vast majority of the bad rep comes from those who have been banned multiple times or kicked out for shitposting in the group. I don't tolerate racism, homophobia, or any other form of bigotry, and as you already know, the internet is filled to the brim with all of the above. People get mad when they aren't allowed to spout their shit.
-
So it's like the people who hate Apple. They would literally be unaffected if they just dropped it, but they insist on talking about how shitty it is all the time, just because it's successful.
-
You've got the idea.
-
Why not?
-
Because any member who feels the need to hide their original identity can only have one reason to be in Sapphire, and that's a reason for me to keep them out. We've been moderating quality and kicking out shit members for years - we're certainly not going to stop now just because people on B.net have lost all of their other places to post.
-
Even though I dislike you, we have 1 common enemy that you failed to kick out of your group. Not gonna tell you who it is. Good luck figuring it out. Jerk.
-
Because any member who feels the need to hide their original identity can only have one reason to be in Sapphire
They could've lost their original account details.
-
Sure. In those cases, they tell me and link me to their old account, and they usually have some secondary proof, such as a gamertag (people don't come to a video game developer's website without never playing a videogame) or a Facebook profile.
-
How do you know if someones an alt and not just really new?
-
I don't sometimes. I have to make an educated gamble, and the vast majority of new accounts aren't new members at all. As I said, if they are, they usually have the ability to prove it. Unfortunately I operate in a world where most members are shitty. I really wish that wasn't the case, but I can't very well purge this site of buttfrustrated children. Everyone is guilty until proven innocent, and that system has served me well for a long time now.
-
I can't very well purge this site of buttfrustrated children. Everyone is guilty until proven innocent
That's not very fair now, assuming everyone you don't know is a buttfrustrated child. But if that's the way you operate, and it works well for you then fair enough. I'll remain buttfrustrated.

Blame the community for being shit, not me for acknowledging it.
