If I am facing hordes of enemies, I want someone DPS'ing the enemies on my flank - not healing me and making me do all the real work. Healing should not be a primary focus.

  • Well how about someone who can increasing you shields regen rate, increases the fire time's over all DPS or can rez you from a distance, armor buff throw down cover. I see where you are coming from; but a battle is never won through DPS alone.

  • If you can do that while still putting bullets down range I am happy. A battle can be won through DPS alone, a battle cannot be won by healing. You are giving up DPS to heal the players who are DPS'ing, when it might be more efficient to combine DPS and prevent damage. I want to reiterate and add a caveat, healing should not be a primary active focus. In short, I prefer prevention over treatment. The faster you can cut the enemy down, the less damage you would take.

  • You make very good points. But a medic/support is the catalyst on the battlefield. We can reduce cool downs, increase rate of fire, increase weapon accuracy, and increase armor. Proper support turns Hunters into spot on Marksman, Warlocks into DPS Cannons, and Titans into HULKS for the entire length of the battle.
