Xbox will not come bundled with Mic

The kinect microphone can pick up voices from a good distance. I don't want to hear kids getting told to turn off their console and go to bed. I don't want to hear someone's conversation which is none of my business. It would be funny to hear a 10 year old getting caught telling people to -blam!- off by his mother or father and then getting shouted at over xbox live. That is the only fun i would get from it but i'm sure there are videos on youtube of that so don't need kinect

Doesn't the xbox itself include a mic? How else can you do the voice commands?

Microsoft is really trying to push the Kinect and since they have stated that the voice thing works in game chat, it leads me to believe that they just want people to get used to using it.

Kinect will most likely be your mic. There is suppose to voice recognition and noise cancellation. Plus if pther players try to turn your Xbox off over live then theirs will turn off.

I just hope they make another xbox wireless headset like the 360 one. Mine has lasted 6 years and has great sound quality and comfort.

What is so hard about buying a mic? The console is $500 so it's not like you don't have any money. It's hardly worth complaining about. Especially since you can buy a mic that's ten times better.
