I'm just waiting for the moment when, in Gen 9 Microsoft and Sony have DRM and shit, restrict consumers more, charge hourly to play, on to of a 99 retail game price. All hope seems lost when suddenly; Nintendo comes out of nowhere with a much superior console with 32GB RAM, GPU equivalent of a Geforce 990Ti16GB, i13 Core Processor, and still cheaper then Xbox Too and PS5.
With a first year lineup of all of it's IPs to date, on a monthly release schedule from launch, then new IPs, full third party support, better and more online services, free, and Reggie's body shall remain ready.

Nintendo will have been killed off in the console market by then. The people with Wiis have either lost interest or see no reason to update to the new console. People without Nintendo consoles and Sony/Microsoft consumers see no reason to get a Wii U because it's all gimmick. Nintendo is losing third party support, hemorrhaging money from its console division, and keeps producing consoles a full generation behind the current. Their handhelds will survive. Nothing else.

1 RespuestaNintendo is the only company left where my friends and I can all sit down in a living room and play Nintendo titles like we were 10 again playing N64 Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. Nintendo may not cater to the "hardc0re" as much as Xbox and Sony, but they do cater to the child within the adult, and that's what I love about them. I personally can't wait to get my own WiiU, the new Super Smash Bros will be fun, and hopefully Mario Party doesn't pull a Mario Party 9 anymore. The new Mario Kart looks cool also, Zelda and Mario NEVER get old, and god dammit we need a new FPS Metroid title!

1 RespuestaEditado por Vampire Nox: 6/19/2013 5:08:06 AMI think I'll choose a system that doesn't require I lose thirty (30) years off of my life to find it's games interesting. And... it'll never happen. Nintendo is too stuck in what it thinks will sell well. And is apparently in love with underpowered systems.

2 RespuestasI just want another StarFox game.
-
Whoa there that's like 8 years from now little to early to discuss that
-
Typical Nintendo. It took three generations of consoles for them to get past the opening cutscene so we could see the real product.

3 RespuestasNintendo is running 1 gen behind tho.
-
3 RespuestasI don't see that happening. Nintendo's online is still a gen and a half behind MS and Sony. Not to mention that they've practically severed all ties with multiplat developers.

Generation nine will probably only be Nintendo.

8 RespuestasNintendo will strike back when they become a software developer for multiple platforms. I'll run away now.

1 RespuestaNintendo is what I buy for my children to play in their room while I play PS3 and Xbox 360 in the living room.

Hooray for Custom Robo

12 RespuestasIf Nintendo would have made a console equivalent to the PS4/Xbox One in power they would have won E3 and next gen. They'd have free online, the cheaper console, no DMR, plus their first party stuff. However, they failed to do that. One can only hope someone at Nintendo realizes they need to release something to market the Wii U.

4 RespuestasI would never want nintendo to be top dog, they milk the shit out of everything and people just lap it up. Nintendo has no original IP's they are all remakes or sequels with the same characters. Nintendo is a family console and they buy the games and consoles for kids because kids are clueless about the games and parents buy them because they are kid friendly despite the fact that they are being milked to high hell. Nintendo brands are worse than Call of duty.

23 RespuestasHaha. Nobody can come close to producing quality first party games like Nintendo. Honestly, if they made a high end console there would be no war. Only Nintendo.
