Not my problem, but I've seen some Aussies and Kiwis a bit perturbed by this.
But don't go crazy, it's still only required every 24 hours for basic functionality. The One's single-player games that utilize Cloud gaming as well as their multiplayer games just won't be perfect.

I think I'll be okay

I'm not sure if mine is good or not.

Good. Now we don't gotta deal with peoples slow connections

7 RespuestasWoo! This is on campus though, I only get ~11 down and ~1.5 up when at home.

Verizon FiOS master race!

Just tested my office's wifi speed. 20.36 down, 27.74 up. I'm playing all my games here from now on.
-
I can see why this would be a problem for some people, but I think I usually get around 12.5 mbps so I'm good.
-
10 RespuestasNot an issue. I'm in Kansas City, MO. I have Google Fiber. 1GB/s just kills the competition.

Editado por BritLemon: 6/13/2013 7:21:53 PMMy internet averages at around 1.60 - 2.20mbps. It's not like it's a constant connection that's needed anyway.

1 RespuestaHey you know what's faster than 1.5mbps? ... LAN

2 RespuestasWhere I live my ISP has a monopoly on high speed internet. I pay $50 per month for crappy 768 Kbps DSL. -_______-

You would need to be on dial up for that not to work......
-
3 RespuestasDamn, my Internet sucks compared to the rest of you guys.
-
I'm actually glad they're doing this, now my games won't lag like hell anymore because some retard is using his shitty dial-up connection to play online.

13 RespuestasCan any tech savvy people look at this and tell me if my internet is good or not?

That god awful website is awful. Every time I visit it, Firefox blocks pop ups and my browser slows down tremendously. On topic, I don't see a problem. The slowest internet connection readily available to my area is faster than that.

2 RespuestasWho doesn't have 1.5 MBPS by now?

And this is exactly what I worried would happen...

5 RespuestasThank God! So sick of these people who jack internet from their neighbors and screwing up everyone else's experience because they're poor.
-
There's a difference between recommended and required, and required makes it sound like you somehow won't be able to play your games because they won't authenticate. The check-in is literally kilobytes of data; even if your connection speed is measured in kbps, it will take just seconds to perform authentication. This is more than likely for intensive activities like cloud processing and acceptable download times.

Keep diggin' that grave, MS.

1.5Mbps isnt so bad Whats bad is most aussies dont have reliable internet connections. A lot of ISPs over here think theyre smart and throttle speeds at certain times and theres quite a bit of outtages. Nothing longer then a few hours at a time but still.
