There have been some posts now and then about the amount of guns a player can carry. Of course this ended up in much speculation (surprise..). Not only about the number of guns, but also the slot specifics. There also have been posts about whether or not we will have a crosshair and what it should look like. Again, much speculation.
Today, as I was counting the hours until E3, I decided to watch some older vids of Destiny. This one (above) got my attention and is able to answer these questions. Maybe I'm too late and by that giving you guys old info, but for me it was new and I'm sure for allot of others too.
Question 1: How many guns are we able to carry?
Go to 1:05. There you'll notice the Destiny app where you will be able to see the character 'halcyclon'. On the left side you can see the guns that she carries. 3 in total. The last one seems to be a handgun of some sort. So by my guess you will be able to equip 3 guns with maybe one designated for small arms.
Question 2: Do we have a crosshair and what will it look like?
Go to 3:55. You'll see ingame footage where the crosshair is clearly visible. Though I think you will be able to turn it off as the other ingame footage show no corsshair at all.
It's nice to keep you going in these last couple of days (5!!!)

I the 3 guns thing is true (2 primary, 1 sidearm), I'll go with either assault rifle, shotgun and hangun or sniper rifle, sub machine gun and handgun. I really hope we can have 3 weapons, that way you can have a weapon for medium to long range, one for medium to short range, and a awesome handgun if you want to finish you enemy with finesse :P.

4 RespuestasI would imagine that bc we are the last city in the world there would be a likely chance of many types of weaponry. I personally hope that Warlocks can carry a sword as they are casters and would need a sword in case of close quarters. as for cross hairs it would be nice to customize them or at least puck from some different one. I truly think there will be a lot of weapons because its the last city and there are many aliens. we might even see old school present guns who knows. either way this game will keep us playing.

I think you'll be able to carry two rifles (one could be shotgun) and pistol. That's awesome man!!!

Bungie had a very balanced weapon system in Halo, along with every gun having its own crosshairs. I can imagine that every gun in Destiny will be a little different from each other and that each alien race has their own theme of crosshairs for each gun. Makes sense.

2 RespuestasPersonally I hope i dont have a Crosshair, or at least have the option to turn it off. In Halo I liked the crosshair but thats because it is really in the visor. In other games i find crosshairs as a huge distraction and i hope its not like that in this game.

2 RespuestasAlso at 1:05 you can see what looks like a green progress indicator behind the guns and the one on top has an arrow as well as being filled with green. Maybe there is some kind of progression with guns where the longer you have a certain weapon equipped/use it you will be able to upgrade or unlock certain things for that weapon or weapon class?

I hope they have custom cross-hairs you can do like in TF2.

8 RespuestasI think this person is on to something in this picture. If you take into account the fist above the armor pieces, both it and the similar looking gun icon on the other side could possibly be abilities. Maybe class specific gun and melee abilities. If this is true then based on the picture, we would only be able to use 2 guns at a time, and maybe the questioned icon on the right represents a melee weapon.

I made a topic on this quite a while ago. I assume that those are 3 separate weapon slots on the left. I would bet that there is a separate menu for gun mods or other stuff like that. I'm really hoping that the fist is a slot for melee weapons, but I'm not holding my breath. From this screen, I also suspect that guns and armor have an effect on the stats at the bottom.

1 RespuestaThe question I want an answer to is how will the gun system be and what I mean is will it be like Borderlands in that each gun behaves differently and has different stats or how will it work?
-
Well we know there is scoping in so that usually means crosshairs. We probably won't know what they look like until E3 but I hope they look awesome and futuristic!
-
Different iron sights for different guns would be nice. Since the guns are supposed to be modular they wouldn't need more then 10 or so options.

I'm hoping the shot at 3:55 is just a placeholder, as the crosshairs look nigh identical to the assault rifle's from Halo: Reach, which suggests that the mechanics of the Destiny assault rifle's would be similar to the Reach one, which would suck IMO!
