The grandparents of the murdered little girl want the killer to suffer as she suffered and then be put to death.
Fair? Over reaction?
Personally I'd love the Death Penalty to come back for special cases like this monster.

I for one, am glad my state supports the Death Penalty.

I fully believe in the death penalty, mostly just because the thought of keeping monsters alive off taxpayer money makes me sick. Sure there are flaws in the system, nothing is perfect.

1 RespuestaIf we've established that they deserve to die. If we decide that they have no right to live, it doesn't immediately follow that we have the right to kill. I don't think a government should ever have power of life and death over its people, with the only barrier being a flawed justice system between them and an executioner. I wouldn't say it's an over reaction. It's just not how legal justice should work in the UK, IMO.

4 RespuestasOnly for special cases like this. I also think that the murders of Lee Rigby should be executed as well. when a man runs someone over, decapitates a soldier, and stands there with blood on his hands shouting that he plans to start a war in London tonight, it's safe to say that he was not only guilty of murder, but High treason too.

Given the circumstances you can understand how they feel, but they arnt thinking straight, the death penalty was abolished for good reason.

1 RespuestaIf British jail's anything like US jail, he will suffer. I wouldn't call getting r@p3d in the ass, contracting HIV, and dying from internal bleeding pleasurable.
-
It's a horrific case, and Bridger should never walk free - but there's no chance of that, so I don't see the point in killing him. Besides, personally, I think a life spent reviled and with no hope of freedom is a more severe punishment than death.

If prisions there are anything similar to the US, then prison justice would prevail(remember Katie's revenge?).
-
Well no matter how angry they feel, it's not the governments job to carry out acts of vengeance on their behalf. Such a society would be barbaric.

1 RespuestaIt's going to cost a lot more money of the taxpayers to kill him rather than keeping him in a box for the rest of his life.

2 RespuestasHe is going to die in prison. That is far more suffering, than giving him the easy way out via execution. He will die alone, in a cold, dark cell. Hopefully sane as well, so he knows that he will die in that cell.

1 RespuestaWhy is that a news story?
