I had a teacher that bought us Donuts if you got 90 percent or higher in elementary school. How many people got the applications anyway?

Hmm, that sounds a little harsh if it's only one test, on the other hand if it's multiple tests then maybe this is a motivational tool.

Personally I think this is really ineffective. The kids who tried and failed are obviously not on their way to working at McDonalds, they just happened to not do so well on a test. The kids who failed because they didn't try obviously just don't care.

Are you serious? There's nothing to teach in an English class so how is it that students fail English tests? Aside from learning how to write an essay, I've never learned anything else in any of my English classes.

Yes, adding insult to injury will certainly make them do better on the next test. I really wish teachers understood that their personality and character plays a bigger role in their students' learning than they think.

13 RespuestasTruth is college graduates experience the same unemployment rate as non-graduates yet have thousands of dollars worth of debt, which would be all well and good if the college graduates actually got jobs in their fields. Instead they end up working at Starbucks or McDonald's anyway. I don't feel like looking up the stats right now, but I'm not lying.

But if it was an exam, then that is quite demoralizing. Edit: Also, why the hell does everyone think working at McDonald's is bad?! I know some people, great girls and guys, pass their exams blah blah blah, they end up working in McDonald's, why? - BECAUSE THEY'RE WORKING FOR EXTRA CASH SO THEY CAN PAY FOR OTHER THINGS LIKE CARS AND SAVE UP FOR HOLIDAYS AND -blam!-ING UNIVERSITY. And they work flexible hours too, College in the day, work shifts in the evening. Sorted.
