Just a few examples. MPs in England are paid £65,738 a year (including allowances to cover the costs of running an office, employing staff, having somewhere to live in London and in their constituency, and travelling between Parliament and their constituency), Congress are paid around $174,000 a year and the president earning $400,000 a year.
Now given these figures, would you say politicians are paid too much (especially given the rather low approval rate of congress at the moment) too little or just the right amount?

Keep in mind people, their income is compounded from past positions held. If they have held another office they receive pension for that position. Career politicians with many different positions held make money off every one of those positions.
