I head west to the ruins, to see what treasures are within
English
-
You set off to the west with the wind on your back! You soon come across the magnificent valley with many ruins lying within. Directly infront of you is an old watchtower and to the east is a worn out path leading into the valley.
-
I ignore the watchtower for I have a feeling there are enemies within, I continue along the path towards the ruins as fast as I can in hopes of treasure beyond my wildest dreams. (Sorry for late reply...)
-
You pass by the tower and approach the nearby ruins. You see a crumbling gate secured by a heavily rusted lock. One of the walls has stones missing that may allow you to scale it and enter the ruins.
-
I examine the wall, using my intelligence to determine the composition of it, my objective is to see what it's made of, how much it's worth, and how hard it is.
-
You deduce that the wall is made of old stones and mortar. It's not worth anything, but the remaining stones are still surprisingly sturdy, and seem to be able to take your weight.
-
I scale the wall, taking a brick of it for keepsake.
-
You pocket the dense rock and make it to the top of the wall. There are no safe handholds to climb down the other side, and the ground below is knotted and twisted with the roots of trees long since dead.
-
I jump, cutting the roots as I go using my agility and steel-leaf blades to forge a path.
-
The roots are sliced out of your way, enabling you to avoid injuring yourself as you land. You venture deeper into the ruins, until you come to a wall. A small shelf is sticking out of the wall, and a riddle is barely visible on the old stones. What was there to bar your way Is needed now to open it For while the trees and gate give way The walls will stand unbroken
-
I go back, retrieve a root, and place it on the shelf, hope to god that it works
-
Editado por Gr33n: 4/5/2013 3:01:33 AMThe text on the wall shifts and changes. The trees have withered long ago They've rotted through and through What you need was set in stone And you've got one with you
-
Place the extremely convenient brick on the shelf (seriously, was that thought out before or after I picked up the maguffin brick?)
-
The wall opens up and allows passage. Before you lies a dark tunnel leading deep into the ruins. You feel cold air coming out of the opening, and your cold-blooded veins tingle a bit. A long extinguished torch is mounted just inside the opening. (None of this is planned until it happens once, at least for me. Don't know about lukeanatr)
-
ignore the torch (Grass type, night vision, and I hate fire) and press onward with my blades drawn and hiding in the shadows. (I'm going to sleep now, I'll reply when I get some time in the day. G'night!)
-
You continue down the tunnel until you come to a hole. The hole is too far to jump, and is from one wall to the other. Looking down into it, you can see sharp spikes reaching out of the dark abyss below.
-
Determine the composition of the spikes, scan the walls for any footing, and calculate chances of survival if there is any footholds or ridges.
-
The spikes are barely visible, but the appear to be of polished iron. The walls are made of single slabs of stone, as if they were carved smoothly out of the very bedrock itself. If you were to fall into the pit, you would have a very slim chance of survival, and would have an even harder time getting out of the pit.
-
attempt to cut a path through the walls, using my basic magic skills to buff my swords to a stronger state
-
You are able to cut into the walls, but only slightly. You may be able to cut ridges along the wall to get around, but it would be risky. Only the slightest slip could send you down the pit to your death.
-
It's worth a shot, just to see the other side, I'll attempt to slide along the ledges, and try to get to the other side, if not, close enough to jump
-
You make it halfway across the pit, but you lose your grip and fall. The pit was an illusion, and is in fact, solid ground. You continue down the hall, curious as to what kind of powerful magic is in this place. You come to a large room. In the center is a small fire, and there are three doors, one on each side and one straight ahead.
-
Peer into each door to see what's inside.
-
The door to the left seems to be another hallway. The door straight ahead opens into a deep vertical shaft. The door to the right also leads to a hallway.
-
Look for lighting, then drop it into the shaft to see what's down there.
-
Editado por Gr33n: 4/5/2013 9:06:10 PMYou take a stick from the fire in the center of the room and drop it down. It falls for a few seconds before you hear it extinguish with a hiss. There appeared to be an opening near the bottom that leads forward.
