I could see that working but I would like as much immersion as possible. They could always have the option to have it on or not in the actual game.

I think the reason that wouldn't work is because of trolls who'd shout and run

And get chased by Cabal and lose everything they have. In reality they would be the distraction, decoy, and bait for you.

You have the option to play alone, with friends, or with random people (including friends). Don't be so quick and stupid to make a judgement.

Well then that takes the whole social part out of the game doesn't it and It's not a stupid judgement considering that the majority of mmo style games are made up of a community of people you do and don't know

The chances of you running into someone like that often are very slim. Besides, you can permanently mute them from this site and I assume that might have some effect on the game. Everything has its faults, if we don't progress and develop things because of them we will never become better or make great things.

Taking your idea into mind that'd mean that you wouldn't know that the enemy was aware of your position if you had a troll near you and if you muted them from the site then they wouldn't change that players voice settings in anyway or that'd ruin the game.

Muting them would probably prevent them from playing with you. This one tiny feature wouldn't ruin the game, most people think it would only make it better.

That wouldn't stop them from playing if they're trolling you they'll probably just start shooting up in the sky and it may ruin it for you if they're shouting and you can't hear them. This feature probably won't be involved anyway considering how many games have used any type of voice software (only 1 comes to mind for me)

They could do many things to attract unwanted attention like, as you said, shooting randomly. I don't see what kind of difference it makes.

Exactly, muting them wouldnt do anything to prevent them from playing it'd just make them get more creative

We don't know if it would prevent them from joining our world yet, after all it blocks posts and comments from them.

Considering that it's a community world it may have a voting system like red dead redemption
