This usually happens in the NFL/NBA where a player makes a play and then does some kind of bragging move. Like shawn merriman's lightning thing or an NBA player making a dunk and walking off the court staring into the crowd.
Its stupid, it takes away from the sport especially in basketball where teams actually score on the other end when a player is showboating. I think they should penalize it. Endzone celebrations should be brought back I think because thats points for your team and it ends a drive.
Celebration during gametime I think should result in fines because its stupid. It should be labelled as taunting.
I know its minor but its irritating. I dont care if you do a major dunk/tackle thats your job. If you glorify it that much that implies you can't do it often.

1 RespuestaI don't mind the celebrations. It's the thanking of God that drives me crazy. I seriously don't think God gives a BLAM.

1 RespuestaIf you do something like this, the celebration is damn well deserved.

3 RespuestasAt least you don't have people diving and/or writhing around on the floor in pretend agony in the NFL/NBA like you get in football.

I actually enjoy the different celebrations players have. Some of them are really creative and entertaining.

20 RespuestasNothing wrong with bragging after you make a great play. Especially if you can get into your opponents head while you are doing it.

6 RespuestasThis is the exact reason I stopped watching pro football when Dan Marino retired, and NBA when Michael Jordan retired. All since who do things like this irritate me. It's a TEAM sport.

Completely agree.
