I think it's safe to assume there will be other planets to explore, outside of our solar system, as well. I don't think the Cabal evolved from Mars' primordial goo.

I don't think that's a safe assumption at all, TBQH. Sure, the aliens probably came from outside our solar system, but considering the numerous mentions we've seen of "our solar system," and complete lack of mention of other planets, I don't see why anyone would assume we'll be able to travel outside it.

Editado por Chadoline: 3/6/2013 1:37:48 PMWhat if the traveler was like an ark per say. Humans helped progress the planets in our solar system to except life. Then with the help of the traveler helped save these aliens and we colonized them on said moons/planets but something went wrong. A revolt/uprising something. Now they want the traveler so they can return home or whatever thier motives might be. Just a thought. And to add to your thought on not being able to travel outside our solar system, maybe the aliens can't either thus is why they want the traveler.

Assuming there's an ultimate enemy, why would the game solely focus on fighting that enemy on the home front? It's an epic scale game, so why wouldn't the fight be taken away from the confines of home at any point? The bad guys certainly came from somewhere. Maybe we won't see anything outside Sol in the first game, but never getting to explore the boundaries and homes of exotic beings you're fighting against seems exceptionally limiting. I guess we are just talking about the first game though, so maybe I'm jumping ahead.

Editado por Spaceman Spiff: 3/6/2013 7:45:13 AMYou forget that there are going to be 4 games as far as we know. They have to pace it out. Give them time. There is no way that we will be stuck in the system for the entirety of the series. Bungie is bigger than that.
-
Sure, I'm happy to know there is a possibility that we'll be able to travel outside our solar system, if not in Destiny "1," then in later games. Remember that Bungie made FIVE Halo games and we only explored 4 worlds (Earth, Reach, Halo, and Delta Halo) and a few spaceships. A planet is a big place, and Earth is one of the smaller ones. Bungie could easily make huge worlds that one person could never even hope to explore in a lifetime without ever leaving our solar system. Either way, I have no doubt that Destiny will be huge and have lots to explore, but I wouldn't say that it's safe to assume we'll be traveling outside our solar system, especially with no evidence at all to support it.
-
Well, sure, Earth is big enough, but we already have travel to the surface of 3 planets confirmed as well as travel to the moon and to Saturn (though only talk about its rings), so we are talking about a fairly large portion of our solar system in the first game. I can't say for sure, but it seems like the game would need to expand to another system eventually. Four games requires a massive amount of content.

I didn't forget there were four games, as expressed in my last sentence. Your point was my point.
-
Sorry, realized that after I read it again. Moral of the story is that Bungie will deliver in due time.
-
It's all good. I certainly agree with you. My argument is that it will be in game 1. ;)
-
Oh, I definitely agree with you xD Im just posting what other planets have been confirmed at this point.

No I got what you were doing. Just contributing to theoretical discussion. ;)
