It is both genetically linked, and a choice. I don't remember any study outright proving that it was 100% genetics based.

1 RespuestaI don't know much, if anything, about Biology but I've heard that every baby is first female before it turns male during its development. Couldn't that have some effect as to a person's sexual orientation?

9 RespuestasI'll probably get muted for this, but hear me out. As a believer in evolution, I think that homosexuality is a retardation. Of course not a severe mental one, but one nonetheless. Calling it that definitely has a terrible stigma attached to it, but if you are logical and reasoning, you would understand why. Animals are not supposed to be homosexual, they can't reproduce that way, and having an animal with that sexuality hinders them useless in the animal kingdom. I do not think it's a choice at all, but if that's the case then my point is proven. All that being said, I am not against gay rights, I do not hate gay people, that is just my brutally honest opinion. My one gay friend would probably disown me if he ever heard me say this, but it's true.

Hmm, depends on the person. Some people are able to go well with both genders. However, some religious zealots that might be attracted to the same gender go as far to refuse that fact, so I am not sure how much of a choice sexuality really is, but I understand that if someone is forced (by themselves or externally) then they will go with it, but they won't enjoy it.
