Pretty sad really, how do you feel about legally assisted suicide?
-
rip in peace i think doctors should help patients who'd rather die, keeping them alive is counterproductive.
-
One of them could not sleep without sitting straight because of respiratory issues. The other one could no longer walk. I understand and respect their decision.
-
Suicide is scary as hell. I can't imagine actually going through with it without a gun.
-
I regards to the article, I find it incredibly sad. I could not imagine being both blind and deaf. I think legally assisted suicide should always be an option so people go see a doctor before killing themselves leading to fewer actual suicides and fewer failed suicide attempts.
-
Frankly, IMO if you're opposed to this, then you don't believe individuals own their own lives. That makes you a fascist douche bag.
-
1 RespuestaI couldn't imagine being blind and deaf. I mean, it would just be black silence. All the time.
-
3 RespuestasI can understand. I really don't know how I would deal with life without Mrs Charlie. I've only known her half my life. These two had each other's back their whole life.
-
I think it's heart-warming. You have these two twins, who have not been able to hear each other their whole lives. And yet, they still form such an incredibly strong bond that when they find out that they'l be going blind, would rather die than to never see each other again. The love they have for each other, the loyalty, to accept death over than never seeing a cherished sibling again, is just wow.
-
I think it's kinda sad and touching that they'd rather die than losing the ability to see other again as well as already being deaf.
-
1 RespuestaI need a hug now. Anybody?
-
1 Respuesta-blam!- these kinds of news..... :((((
-
6 RespuestasI read about it. It's so sad. I'm glad they went peacefully.
-
That's really sad, and touching at the same time. I wish I had a strong opinion, but that is a bittersweet story.
-
That's sad, but ok they couldn't hear an soon couldn't see.
-
Depressing but it's their choice.

If the person has spoken with a psychologist and is of sound mind, and the family has at least been notified, I see no problem with it, if people would rather not live any longer.
