Stop making the game for streamers
The community isn't streamers. it's the casual fan base. Stop listening to them

That’s not the problem. The problem is that you’ve had a number of devs at Bungie reach positions of authority who are too invested in making the game “difficult” instead of making it enjoyable. They are World of Warcraft fans, and Dark Souls fans…and want to remakes Destiny in their image. But not realizing that what makes Destiny popular is that it is a POWER FANTASY game…not a test of skill game. …and it is a loot game. Streamers are part of the problem because a very difficult game drives viewers and puts money in their pockets. But they wouldn’t have the impact that they have if they weren’t saying what Bungie devs wanted to hear. TLDR: Bungie has a bad habit of treating the game like it is their personal creative space…and not like a commercial product that is supposed to have its own identity.

Editado por ben: 7/25/2025 4:21:15 PMPlease be more specific about the game being made for streamers 😂 Any you name ill pull up recent proof of them complaining about something Saltagreppo is the biggest target of hate, he put out a dozen tweet long thread on day 2 of the dlc talking about how bad all the bullet sponges and the excessive power deltas are, and how the games sandbox has gotten worse every year. But yea sure hes self serving and just wants the game to be hard at your expense, got it Pre someone bringing up the divinity thing, that was debunked by bungie themselves

16 RespuestasThis isn't even a game for streamers at this point, because Destiny in its current form isn't a fun game to watch. It's too boring for streamers to stream, and it's such a convoluted mess that casuals don't want to engage either. Destiny is a game for nobody, which is why it's failing so hard right now. A game for no one, full of changes nobody asked for and loaded with content nobody wants to play.

That's who this game is designed for. The days of this being a fun past time are definitely over. Bungie lost themselves and Destiny's lost its original identity.

6 RespuestasThe problem with catering to "casuals" is you're already going in knowing they're not going to play a lot, even if the content is good, and there's nothing wrong about being a casual player. That's what a casual is, to be fair. They're not dumping hours into the game. I agree they shouldn't cater to streamers. I don't think they are tbf. They (currently) have catered to hardcore players, of which much of the content creation community is, but it's not just exclusively streamers. There's a balance to be struck and I think it's absolutely fair to say they've swung it too hardcore this go round. Things that aren't Master/GM content need to be reigned in. Regular raids and dungeons don't need power delta's. Mythic needs to be more engaging than peek-shooting behind rocks for 10 minutes. More examples I won't list but I agree with the sentiment, even if I don't think it's that exact group that's the complete problem.

2 RespuestasId argue the community isnt the casuals. Its the active players. Casuals cant be cattered to in order to design a game. Because by nature their gameplay do not go well with a mmo type game. Playing casually has meant, not being able to get/do everything no matter the game. And thats fine as it is. As for the whole "stop making the game for streamers"...well ik people love to complaî about streamers as if they stole their lunch money... But besides the day one race, i cant see what part of EoF is good for streamers (especially since they complain as well) Do you really think they enjoy soing mythic missions that consists in poking bulletsponges ennemies at a distance ? Or farming encore for days ? Be realistic, they just made the game for nobody, really.

5 RespuestasLiterally didn’t renew my psn subscription or buy the new dlc. Game is built for streamers not for us guys who only play after work if I have the energy. Or weekends. But sbmm has ruined that for me. Like seriously who cares about noobs getting stomped? It’s a video game.
