Just a general suggestion. It seems like a lot of the community is not happy with the game but I hear no complaints from the streamers. I get it...it's free advertising and they buy everything. Its their job. But it's really pissing off the community. How about you invite random players to a summit and see what they think instead? Pick some less notable but obvious hardcore players and get their opinions. Catering to the streamer is pushing many people away. I thought as a business you would want more people to play. It doesn't seem like a sound business model.

8 RespuestasThey don’t cater to streamers at all dude, they cater to the average player, that’s why we keep having unbalanced gameplay and no real changes besides UI. If anything I wish they listened to good players.

Are you referring to the ones who do a goodbye to D2 video, at least once a season?

4 RespuestasEditado por Wolves: 10/17/2024 1:07:58 PMUnrelenting trash mobs and passing death buffs to your teamates while fighting shielded enemies that can only be defeated with various mechanics, ending only in wanting to throw your controller through your tv when someone effs it all up is not fun? Thank you to all the streamers out there, I need a new tv.

2 RespuestasThey live to please their streamers while ignoring the majority of players. I wonder what else they do with their beloved streamers that we don’t know about. 🤢
-
2 Respuestasthis statement literally is the one that's ruining the game tbh suggest what's wrong, what's bad and suggest a solution about it. all these people say " wahh they only listen to streamer " like, to who? live off, game is bad not because of streamers

Some information to share here. I'm impartial on the whole topic as I don't think Bungie really "listens" to either side more or less. My clan's founder, who is a hardcore player (A bit more than myself) was invited to a summit back before TFS launched, and he said this summit targeted a wide range of players of multiple skill levels and that there were no "streamers" or "content creators" in attendance at this summit. Obviously he is under NDA so no information on what was actually discussed / presented has been shared, nor would I ask him (Being part of one of these insider programs for another title myself), but he did say that feedback on the overall state of the game / what was shown was requested and taken from Bungie, and that he has seen some of these feedback items already implemented in game. I still hold firm on a number of my personal criticisms, and I do believe they have been seen. As to what actions are taken in regards to it however, is the real question here. Personally, the only reason I "dislike" streamers in this regard is it "seems" like many of the changes made over the last year have been catered more towards that top 0.1% they fit into, but again, plenty of opportunities out there for things to turn around (Going by recent articles on Frontiers).

1 RespuestaI feel like people need to consider this about streamers. They are just people who enjoy the game they play and are entitled to their own opinion on it. If people didn’t agree with them, they wouldn’t have the platform that they do. People need to stop acting like they’re the literal devil and realize that they are just trying to make a living and stating their opinions, just like we do on here.

21 RespuestasI’ve said it on forums a few times. The audience Bungie should build their games for is the hardcore casual. The people that play 10+ hours a week and just want a mindless good time. Build a Crucible geared toward these players. Build the PvE activities for these players. Balance the sandbox for these players. The hardcore streamer who turned this game into a job, good for them. Honestly. Great for them. But by building the game to meet their needs at the expense of the hardcore casuals has not been working. I play the game less than I used too and I enjoy the game less than I used to because the things I mindlessly enjoyed have become a chore. Also, unrelated but would make me more excited to play… give us more guns. This trickle of weps each season is not doing it. Bring back more D1 weps if you’re out of ideas. But 1-2 new weps per weapon type a season is not enough to keep me on the loot chase wheel.

To get the general consensus you'd have to interact with real guardians on the battle field, not this echo chamber.

14 RespuestasBeen saying this for years. They think content is too easy so Bungie makes it more difficult to keep them streaming their content and to h**l with the rest of the community.
-
The streamers get paid and looked after by Bungie . It is what it is
-
4 RespuestasThey used to invite players from this forum to the summit. But this placed has turned into a toxic sht hole and no one actually cares about making the game better just complaining for likes.
-
ever since vanilla destiny 1, bungie has catered to the .01% of the community that's never going to stop until people stop watching the streams and youtube videos

Editado por KelRiever: 10/17/2024 10:32:49 PMI mean, how stupid are they for doing so? It isn’t like catering to streamers has stopped their absolute plunge in people playing this game. Probably they do just to make themselves feel better, even though the results of their putting out a bad game are clear for all to see. The best lie they can tell is the lie they tell themselves.
-
They don't want the entire world playing. They want the entire world paying. Big difference. Business exists for money, its stupid to think they would do things that are against that interest. As for the non regular gamer voice being heard, you can always make your own YT account or something besides these forums. Bungie does not read these forums. It's just us screaming into the void for no one to hear.
-
That’s not even counting the various streamer emblems they given out for them to sell, just handing them money at this point
-
they should their own mode, period.

8 Respuestasfor the last 2 years the game was made from casuals for casuals,
-
Unfortunate sign of the times, but streamers are modern celebrities. At the same time, you don’t need to punk for Harvey Weinstein to achieve similar wealth and recognition like an Aztec Ross…
-
Either save time and effort talking to streamers. Or spend a little extra time and effort to talk with casuals to find better solutions. Bungie made their choice and made it clear where their priorities lie. Wish Bungie was not so adversarial towards the masses. Some of us want to help, but feel jaded by lack of empathy.
-
13 RespuestasThe general consensus on the Bungie forums is that catering to streamers is just a conspiracy theory lol
-
4 RespuestasThe incestuous relationship between devs and streamers is canon when you're forced to watch their content just to understand the game mechanics for any specific activity. I said years ago they're merely trolling us anymore. F them and the horse they rode in on.

Streamers/hardcore players are the only ones who continue playing hardcore even after the first month of a dlc, they are the ones playing the whole season, they are the ones doing everything the game has to offer. I mean, casuals ain’t running raids or solo dungeons.
don’t get on here telling me you’re casual, running solo dungeons and raids every week. You’re not casual then
I feel like it’s half and half - the game has become much more casual, but the endgame content has to continue stepping its game up for those who are engaging with it.
