This games kinda gone off the rails eh? (PVP rant)
Is it just me or has pvp turned into an ability spamming, hacked out hellscape? Meta guns 2 shot regularly. No incentive for people to play the points so you're always just there on your own. Easy target. People chase the top kill spot. XP, Rep, Rewards and leaderboard score should ALL be based on your performance playing the game mode.
The class balances are absurd. There are too many 1 shot abilities. Titan charge followed up with a frost spear. Its a double kill every time. Hunters are an absolute joke right now with all that spam. And I only play hunter. I hate what my class has become. Warlocks might be the only reasonable class?
Stats are stupid right now because if you're running less than 7 resil you're already at a major disadvantage. Which makes building any useful loadouts very difficult unless you're a Titan. Its like if I don't play the lame pris spam builds I'm just throwing.
I'm 3506 hours into Destiny 2 and this lack of real support from the dev team on addressing PVP is really frustrating. The power creep of gun rolls and abilities in relation to our health pools is not good. I wouldn't wish Destiny pvp on my worst enemy.
Maybe I just need a break.. I dunno. Feels like this game is just not for me anymore.

1 RespuestaHonestly you have to pull off the shoulder charge first on titan… and they make up such a small percentage of the population at this point. I respect all titans rocking the grieves. I would rather get shoulder charged than have a weighted knife thrown around two corners to kill me.

It's there to give you something to bang your head against and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Play it to enjoy it (as it is) or scrap it if you're not enjoying it. Let's be honest, it's not like you'll miss out on anything exciting by not playing it🤷

Bungie has always favored Hunters, they were the original concept class of D1. There was a Twitter thread a few years ago where Bungie devs joked about the Hunter shatter dive spammers and wanted to see the community angry. You can't blame Sony for firing so many toxic devs and management.

2 RespuestasYes, all these years later and pvp is somehow in a worse spot than I can remember. My advice, don’t take this game too seriously. Use what you want and find to be fun even if it’s not hard meta and if you’re having a bad time just take a break and come back later. D2 is basically the Mario kart of fps games

11 RespuestasI'm a Hunter main and ALWAYS run 10 Res. Always. I also NEVER run Prismatic. Doing fine this Episode with about 11K kills, 2.43 QP / 2.62 IB, 48% win rate. It's all about your build....your wrong in that regard. Long gone are the triple 100 days. It's also all about leveraging what works best for YOU. I main off "meta" ....don't even believe in the tired azz term. And no.... I don't play "Comp" lmfao.... or TOO any more for reasons educated folks / good historians should be aware of. Is there still too much ability spam? Yes. Do you encounter all imaginable manner of b*tch play? Yes. In terms of playing "objectives"....dude, wake up. Nobody cares about winning for the most part....and zones / objectives are always the secondary priority. That's PvP here and now. I play WAY more than my share of objectives....but dependant on match. If im in one of my numerous "defecto sherpa" matches where I'm at 3.75 and my entire tean is .50 & no-one has a clue... I ball on zones almost entirely unless I'm baiting the opposition. My attitude - f*ck it, didn't ask for this team... but such is the solo life. I'll just lone wolf those matches. Play objectives after everyone in the area is dead. If you're alone capping & radar says incoming fast, just step off & eliminate the opposition then reengage the zone. V

As a behemoth main it’s the only thing stasis titans have for the kit since Bungie kiboshed it with the final shape launch. They alternated cryoclasm slide to be more useful which kinda made it harder to use when you want to actually use it. The Diamond lance is the exact same as the warlock spear freeze melee. Honestly it’s not even a guaranteed kill as you have to shatter them after getting the lance to hit. (Players take reduced damage from weapons when frozen if they aren’t playing on Stasis.) Behemoth is less than 1% of players with prismatic Titan being the least used of see new sub classes. Edit 1: Not to mention you can only make diamonds lances from 3 stasis weapon kills in one life or a ability final blow. The uptime is based on how aggressive the Titan is playing.

3 RespuestasI hate to be the bearer of bad news but d2 pvp is not their focus. Money will always be Bungie’s goal and pvp hasn’t been monetized since buying the base game (before the free to play days) or needing the current expansion to play trials and since pve is their main money maker it will always get more attention. I know the movement is fun and all but if you want a true dedication game for PvP I would advise elsewhere like cod or halo.
