If you must live service, and you'd like to try one that is rewarding and has a responsive dev team, give Fallout 76 a go. Ignore what you've heard and give it a try. A very helpful community. For public events, join a casual team. Start your own public team and random people will join. Even if you're the only one on the team you'll get XP benefits, and it counts when completing any team challenges.
