this new system is worse then what we had before, straight up. cause we could also just pick the bounties we wanted by dismantling the ones we know we wouldn't do, this system forces you to play game modes you don't want to touch such as gambit, or pvp. and the fact that we can only get 1 prime engram, compared to the 3 we got before is a huge down grade, and a time waster.... people have sugjested that there should be 3 seprate modes, witch could work untill you relize that you have to do certain challenges in order to get the thing done, witch is still fairly limiting, they should make it so you only have to finish a few of the challenges to get the engram instead of forcing us to do certain ones... and the removal of bountys has gotten rid of ways for people to get free bright dust now.... this is very anti consumer if you ask me, added to the fact that you still sell armor for 20$ that will never be added into the regular shop...
just.... nah... this sucks, its worse.

17 RespuestasIts not anti-consumer in any way just because you dont like the system Always find it hilarious when people say that kind of stuff when they dont know what anti-consumer really is

I'd like bounties back simply for the xp. I don't pve & used to just farm the crucible bounties to do my season pass & get bright dust. Now it's painfully slow

4 RespuestasEditado por Doctor Proteus: 7/21/2024 12:18:27 AMLets not be too hasty. The idea is excellent, but the execution is absolutely HORRID. The reason why the execution is failing so consistently is because of the totally alien disconnect between the developers, who have never played Destiny 2, and the game and the players. They have spit-balled crude ideas into Pathfinder objectives without considering any of the possibilities, ramifications and consequences. If they could just start acting intelligently when designing and improving the system, it would be amazing, because you are absolutely lying if you told me that you enjoyed going back to the tower to pick up and micro-manage the bounties from Zavala. I almost never touched them because they were so inconvenient and fidgety. A few examples of the disconnect between Bungie and the game/players as relates to the Pathfinder, and I will be going a bit more in-depth as well on other underlying issues that the Pathfinder can lead players into. 1. Constant attempts to force Players into the Crucible. The Crucible is largely abandoned for a reason. It is buggy, laggy, glitchy, imbalanced and is just unpleasant. They are hurting the game by constantly trying to force everyone to focus on one of the worst parts of the game. From shots and supers not landing due to wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimy latency issues, to melee hits not landing when they should have, to opponents shootings and killing you through walls, the Crucible is by far, pound for pound, the worst part of the entire game, and they have to stop sabotaging the games reputation by forcing people into the worst part of the game. Imagine a new player trying out the game and one of their first experiences is a broken mess of a PVP match they were asked to do by the Pathfinder or New Light quest, where they were cheated out of kills because the server is always having an annurism and kept saying none of their hits on an opposing player counted, meanwhile, that same opposing player snipes them through a wall. Not a good look for the game. 2. Encourages teams to sabotage and compete with each other. Several Pathfinder objectives encourage and require the Player to compete with and sabotage their own team. From the ill-conceived and unrealistic Sniper Rifle Precision Kill Objective(Enemies won't be staying still and your team isn't going to let you line up your shots) to the original Bank Motes Gambit objective which resulted in teammates stealing each others Motes, quite a few Pathfinder objectives require a player to slit their teams throat to complete it. 3. Uneven Reward Vs. Time Invested Ratio. Some objectives take an inordinate amount of time and effort to complete compared to all of the other objectives. Thrill of Victory is the prime example of this, with each win required contributing a pathetic fraction of the required percentage of points required to complete it. Meanwhile, you can complete a few other objectives in one round. I have taken to simply abandoning the Pathfinder on any given week if it gives me a bad roll. Bungie really needs to get a grip and really start understanding how their game and its players tick, and begin making more realistic, intelligent decisions on what the players will want to do. So far, the Pale Heart Pathfinder is WAY better and more intuitive than the Destinations one, so if I want raw exp, there is absolutely no question that you should go do the Pale Heart instead of the troublesome and time-wasting Destinations version, whose only advantage over the other is that it offers Bright Dust. Ideally, the sollution to the Pathfinders current problems would involve adding more flexability and wiggle-room, and more importantly I think, for Bungie to actually understand what it is they are asking the Players to do, and to give the players more reasonable objectives. For the former, condensing more weapons into individual objectives would be nice, like Kills with Sniper Rifles and Scout Rifles being condensed into one and the same for all the other weapons, as well as giving objectives that are not to get kills, but to instead fill up a points bar, with damage, assists, kills, precision damage and precision kills all contributing lower/higher points, this will mean that no matter what a Player does, they will still be filling up this bar, rather than being at war with their own team to get the last hit in. For the latter, Bungie simply needs to learn more about the game they are making and the people who play it, and understand what is considered reasonable, acceptable and a worthwhile time investment. Currently, Bungie has demonstrated through the Pathfinder system alone that they have little to no understanding of the game, its mechanics or the players who play it and pay their wages each month. It would also be for the best that they add some kind of work-around mechanic in-case a bugged or obstinate objective appears and blocks the Player from completing the Pathfinder tree. Even Bounties allowed you to abandon an undesirable bounty and pick up a new, randomly generated one to replace it.

Pathfinder awards 3 pinnacles per week per account. With this system you have a chance to get all 3 pinnacles without playing PvP or gambit where as before to get all 3 pinnacles you would have to play all 3 activities. 2nd, in no way does anything force players to play PvP or gambit other than their own deluded minds. 3rd, stay in school kids

Editado por whateverman7: 7/21/2024 3:38:46 PMYall running out of stuff to complain about that yall gotta lie to do it lol. Let's just see the lies you told: We can get 3 prime engrams per week from ritual activities, just like before. Saying they are forcing us to do objectives in pathfinder: guess what? Bounties did the same thing lol. We didn't get blank bounties to complete any objective we wanted lol. Saying we should only have to do a few objectives, well let's see: you had to do 8 bounties to get an engram, so that's 24 to get all 3. Pathfinder, you can get an engram in 5-8 objectives, so 15-24 to get all 3. Meaning we can do less objectives to get the same amount of engrams, but that's somehow worse lol. We get less bright dust: false and true at the same time. Finishing 1 pathfinder gets you 150 bright dust. Finishing 8 bounties got you 120 bright dust. So, for people who use only 1 character, you are getting more bright dust from pathfinder. For people that use more than 1 character, you get less. So this was a half lie lol.

As much as i miss bounties, which i would like to still see around more then just destination ones, i did also see some mention of the pathfinder, and only thing i can give in feedback about the pathfinder is to make it seperate between Vanguard, Gambit, and crucible, so that you only have objectives for that specific playlist depending on what it is you play, and when you have gotten the rewards from 1 of them, then you have basicly gotten the reward from all of them since its a "pick what you prefer to play, and get the same reward"
-
Yeah it's pretty garbage. I'm at a point now where I don't care about the pinnacles but it's still somewhat fun to see some progress on it. That's when they throw in some - or sometimes several - nodes that really make you go out of your way to complete it. I mean, I know about my subclass and artifact and I picked the things I like, do I really have to mix things up to make enemies volatile or ignite them? It's really a "go out of your way"- simulator. Pretty much like everything els in this game.
-
There's a goal with the system meant to serve Bungie so it won't be reverted based on our feedback.
-
A broken developer = a broken system. I wish Sony would just take over and clean house because any developer that worked on this game did far better work than this one has done in the last 4 years. That is a fact that no one can hide. Bringing bounties back is not going to solve anything, this studio would make it a point to just look for some other stupid idea as they always do to change something that doesn't need to be changed and break that too. "Bungie" needs to be removed from Destiny, period.

Editado por I’m Vexy And I Know It: 7/21/2024 2:30:59 AMI think if they just fixed it a bit, made some improvements to make it kinda more like how bounties were, it’d be a lot more enjoyable to have.
-
I admit I mostly agree with you. I’m a bit absent minded so sometimes I forget to check what I need. Also I don’t like it when for some reason I’ll have a row that’s almost all PvP or gambit. I don’t mind the mode but for example if I have nodes unlocked all the way down but that row I feel I have to stop what I want to be doing and go play something else just to get my pinnacle. I honestly would rather just play my 3 games of each and get my pinnacle and bounce. To be fair “to be fair” I know it’s probably super fast and easy for some people. Also I have only completed 3 pathfinders and still leveled up and gotten plenty of pinnacles to keep me getting closer to the hard cap so it’s not really a big deal
-
And they also never sell Finishers for bright dust. All locked behind money. I totally agree. I like bounties better. More freedom to choose and more ways to spend glimmers, too.
-
Pathfinder is a new quest system. Pathfinder made bounty problems impossible to work around. Pathfinder could work but needs lots of updates to be useful. Placing in correct tab would be a great start. Adding workarounds for blocked or impossible to complete bounties would be very welcome.
-
I think the system was created to artificially raise and move numbers between ritual events. Bungie lost a lot of players with Lightfall, which they try to compensate with a model like Pathfinder. While I like the one from The Pale Heart, I ignore, as far as possible, the ritual one. I have nothing against The Crucible or Gambit, but I want to play them if I like them too - not Bungie. I personally find it reckless to urge a player into an activity he/she doesn't like or wants to engage with. It's sad, and not just this theme.
-
They really didn't think it through. Bad enough Pathfinder keeps forcing us to play with weapons/ abilities in modes we may not want to play, but it's buggy too. Slower progression that's more restrictive and slower free Dust acquisition. And I don't just mean progression for the things mentioned. I also mean level progression, a system that at this point has no reason to exist.

IF we had the ability to freely reset the pathway at any point I would not mind it. I was, uhmmmm (looking for a non-4 letter word), irritated, last week when not once but twice I had no choice but run PvP to complete any possible path. If it was the week before I would not have minded, but that trash IB mode we had last week made in suck really bad. Yes I know I could have ran another mode, but why in FS did we not have the ability to opt into Control IB instead of trashy-hell mode IB like we had that past couple of seasons. More proof Bungo just can't think properly. Their judgement is seriously impaired when it comes to what the non-streamer player base ask for when it comes to changes. Bungo: We build a system allowing you to play however you want. Reality: We give you no options on what you really can do so if you want to play, it must be what you want!
-
It was implemented to reduce the ability to farm bright dust. That being said, I want bounties back, too. The pathfinder system (at least for ritual activities) is utter bs.

2 RespuestasBounties sucked.

4 Respuestasas much as i agree i liked the bounty system much better than path finder i will point out you get 3 pinnacles for your first 3 path clears - it says prime engrams but its actual pinnacles
