If Sony were to make D3, what 5 things would you like to see?

Ill go first. 1. I would like to see a brand new engine with cover fire mechanics. 2. Since Witness is defeated, there should be no classes. 3. Truly customizable weapons. Say I want a "Ringing Nail" AR but Vex mythoclast shot sounds. Make it take glimmer and ascendant shards or whatever currency available. 4. Servers Added so you can drop P2P and implement TRUE SBMM. 5. All cosmetics should be involved in drops and close Eververse store.

    Make it MA. This game needs a darker tone. Characters like cayde, Nessus ai and nimbus shouldn't exist. No more boss immunity phases If I can pump a strike boss and kill him in 10 seconds, let me. Proper scaling/world tiers If I'm max level and go into a 1900 power strike, I should be able to melt every boss. They could also make it so if I choose the level 1900 version, I get level 1900 gear. Could create world tiers to simplify it. 1900-1930 WT1 1930- 1960 WT2 1960-1990 WT3 1990-2010 WT4 2010+ WT5 Designated loot. Like division, each section of the map on each destination should have specific loot that drops in that area on a daily rotation. 6 player strikes/12 player raids More players=more fun

    Just my own opinion: 1. A change in philosophy > respect what you made and what players paid for. (An example - any campaign.. but also seasonal creations can be put into a rotator of some sort to keep a player-base for those activities.. but even updating ritual and these seasonal activities should be considered in the PI planning) 2. A change in philosophy > for solos OR team.. do not force it.. make it easy to matchmake across the board (for example can make sure loadouts will take care of all barrier champions.. let people chat before..etc). A damage scalar for content from a super easy.. to a never before been beaten mode. This will promote learning and will create an interesting challenge for elite player/teams. This also means Freelance across the board. 3. From the get go.. either as fully separate games or true respectful separation between PVE and PVP sandboxes. (this should focus PVP on balance and PVE on power.. way more stats available to players after matches in PVP or PVE too) 4. AI. The ghost should be a fully capable AI assistant that can answer guardian questions.. or be scaled to be super-annoying pointing things out.. if AI just has to be centralized and can't be individually trained/modded it will still be very useful.. would also recommend the AI for the DEV team to pick up on issues quicker. 5. Keep the identity, the core-competency of what works here > gunplay, gun-types, movement, more action-adventure than the RPG-souls-like direction the game has taken. Make it fun. This means a bit more bias to creating more/new stuff (keeping stuff from decaying too).. than to do the same stuff over and over again in different ways. Naturally the damage scalar and whatever is created initially (classes,abilities..etc) will allow going over same activities.. but do not introduce classes at the expense of vaulting/sunsetting or creating the content to do. (also see if mechanics and stuff we do can make actual sense in the world and story).. 6. Bonus > way more face-offs before/after matches so we can use those excellent hilarious emotes we earn.

    • 1. Bring back D1’s world design; atmospheric, mysterious landscapes dotted with abandoned Golden Age structures—rather than clean neon cities and magic phantasmagoria. 2. Pay for the base game, but fewer micro-transactions. Thus, make more cosmetics earned through playing. 3. Make Exotics rare and exciting again, like D1. 4. Genuine difficulty rather than artificial (e.g. fewer champions and damage gates). 5. Keep open world gameplay relevant, with desirable rewards, denser enemy groups, big public events like EP and AoS, etc.

      • 1. Dedicated servers 2. D1 art style, and weapon/armor design 3. Strike specific loot with skeleton keys, in addition to regular nightfall specific loot 4. Exotics being actually rare, not quite D1 level where the only reliable way was xur but also not the piñata fest we have in d2 5. Add a smart interactive A.I. for difficulty, based off choice, removing champions forever changes the behavior, ex. Lowest level enemies wont dodge often, throw grenades, higher difficulties enemies will dodge more often, throw grenades to bring you out of cover or push you back, or begin to rally behind phalanxes for mobile cover who will constantly push towards you, high ranking enemies control the battlefield until you take them out, where the lower ranking enemies will begin to panic, and lose strategy

Tired of your friends list shrinking? Hate hunting for people to play with? Don't have a full-time fire team that lives on the game? It's 2024 and we have matchmaking. Make activities completeable with randoms, and have the option to make your own team. LFG/fireteam finder wastes everyone's time. Menagerie, a 6 man "raid", was matchmade and is still requested today. Mechanics were able to be done without communication and weapons were craftable. Easy win. Stop with revive tokens/punishing bad programing. 2. Less random on Programmable "RNG". Again- more fun, less "hope i get it next time" after the 40th attempt. More quests for raid weapons, like Acrius. 3. Set loadouts for pvp. Make pvp gear kits for everyone. No abilities. Instant balance. They did attempt this for vanilla d2 leaving abilities but took away random weapon rolls for pve. 4. Less currency/material farming. Make activities reward materials that are needed. This has gotten better in some aspects but still needs work. 5. Make power matter in pve. Not asking to one shot every boss, but 3-4 damage phases because we're weak then "enrage" wipe, after nerfing everything, isn't engaging. It's frustrating. It has always been a deterrent that keeps people away from some activities, along with point 1. Just my opinion. Have a nice day all.

            1. Significantly different to D1/D2 (different characters, locations, abilities, loot, etc). 2. More focus on the core playlists (Crucible, Gambit and Strikes). 3. Improved engine/connections/stability. 4. No more teen drama storylines/dialogue. 5. The glorious return of SRL!

            • Sbmm is killing the game. If you're bad at the game, you shouldn't win 50% of your games. If you're good at the game, you shouldn't be forced to lose 50% of your games.

              • Separate PvP so no new weapons or abilities are ever added to it. That will rid us of the immediate calls to nerf things we just got and PvP will always be the exact same as people want.

                  1. New Engine, making the game look fresher, but a return to the D1 Art Style. 2. The Return of all old campaigns, raids, strikes, and the sorts, revamped so that they are on par with current Expansions and whatnot. (If need be, you can combine certain Campaigns and Raids like Leviathan + the Raid Lairs) 3. The removal of Crafting, and a return to an RNG loot system. If Crafting is not to be removed, make it so that Crafting acts as Bad luck protection [b][u]ONLY[/u][/b]. 4. A new Prismatic System that combines all Subclasses. To balance this with the narrative, there are going to be two Prismatic. Light Prismatic and Dark Prismatic which allows you to combine all light or dark abilities with other light or dark abilities, but to not cross the threshold. Then, in Final Shape, you gain True Prismatic. This also includes the introduction of Transcendent. 5. I’m not as smart as Bungie, so I don’t know how I would make PvP better. Here is what I suggest. There are 4 tabs. Control, Competitive, Party, and Experiment. Experiment and Control both get replaced by Trials and Iron Banner Respectively. Party mode randomly gives you a selection of three random modes (Like Mayhem, Rift, etc). Both Party and Experiment/Trials do [b][u]NOT[/u][/b] include SBMM, but the Control/Iron Banner and Competitive do include SBMM or Ranked BMM. Edit: I have a couple more like a renewed focus on Strike Specific Loot + a Renewed focus on the Core Playlist, but because all the content is returning as per my previous suggestions, a lot of exotic Quests could “Invade” the Nightfall Playlist. I would also like to see certain Activities from Seasonal Rotations to be turned into Strikes, like the Deep Dive. Something that does have progression. You would have to remove the tier system from Deep Dives, but I think they could be a good strike, especially if you remove some of the RNG from it.

                  • 1/Ability for our guardians to fly in the open world like Anthem had. 2/Ability for our guardian’s to perform class specific assassinations both in PVP and in PVE like Halo has. 3/Ability to over level all game content with increased in game tier difficulty that is choosable by the player like Diablo IV has. 4/Ability to trade unaltered legendary armour and weapons with other players like many games have. 5/Duplicate protection with regards to Pinnacle drops.

Let's see ... 1) the ability to move perks from one weapon to another 2) the ability to use more than multiple exotics at once (like you could in D1) 3) do away with vendor ranks resetting with new seasons 4) optional paths to complete quests (this should satisfy both solos and those who play with others) 5) more variety in Gambit.

                    • 1. More open-world exploration. Also space. Let us use our ships and fly like in Halo Reach! 2. Proximity chat (also option to turn off). Also a public room for sherpas to meet guardians that need help. Also provide incentives for said sherpas. 3. Drop-down menu for weapons on characters with the ability to favorite ones to stay up top. 4. Blue prints for weapons/armor/exotics that don't have stats that are overflowing vault. Some seasons omit certain weapons for champions so they stay vaulted for one example. 5. More large-scale activities like Excision. Maybe even large scale public events that shows up across the bottom of screen. You can opt to bring team in as fireteam leader and do event which pauses current activity. After event finishes you can resume. Probably a difficult thing to do but if they can....

                    • 1. Options to solo strikes 2. If there’s an exotic mission, have 2 missions of the same thing except one for solo people and one for multiplayers 3. Be able to pick rolls for weapons 4. PvP being skill balanced or if you haven’t played pvp in a while you can get put with beginners. 5. Exotic items can have shaders instead of ornaments.

                      A decent Campaign and endgame. Enjoyable raid with bosses each encounter and some good dungeons. And less toxic players.

                        1. Dont force PC and Xbox players to have PSN accounts , that should be an option with gameplay incentives, not a requirement 2. If you do take over Bungie , keep the lower level devs and let them cook with some guidance and financial support, you gave Hideo Kojima a blank check to make a walking simulator give the Bungie devs the same, and try to sway ex-Bungie employees to come back 3. dont force them to release the game at a certain financial quarter , the people working on the game should decide its launch date 4. make it from a new engine, and a new solar system with new races and some of the old, and a new guardian, with easter eggs about the first 2 games, and legends and myths about our current guardian, but no actual D1 or D2 gear, don't sell us Gjallorhorn a 4th time!!! 5. Don't screw it up like Helldivers 2

                        I’d like it if they just deleted the concept of shaders entirely, and just let people choose their own colours/textures kinda like Warframe with their colour palettes and texture customization. They could keep shaders if they want but only for really special textures effects like the elemental shaders. Shaders are so limiting and frustrating to work with. I also really like the concept of prismatic and think it should be expanded on.

                          • 1. Update the damn engine. None of that Halo 1 engine and servers or P2P stuff. 2. Casual Playlists like quick play are CBMM and competitive modes are SBMM. With trials being card based and or properly balanced out teams. 3. Make exotics actually feel exotic and rare to get. They drop like candy and are just plain and boring. 4. Bring back strike specific loot. Make strikes great again. 5. Clans, revamp them. Make them actually useful and fun besides “an engram”. Add featured clans lists, clan wars, clan research, custom clan spaces.
