It depends on what they are investigating. For instance….you could have 1000000 hours played but if you decided to hack/cheat even once, then that’s enough to be bannable. Or, if you are accused of playing with a hacker but only played 1-2 games with them, then you are more likely to just get restricted instead of banned (but if you played an extended period with them and/or it was clearly known they were hacking, then that’s more likely to lead to a ban).

That's so stupid. Cuz I was fasly banned for doing a stupid mistake once, yet bungie allows all these cheaters to roam freely.
That's so stupid. Cuz I was fasly banned for doing a stupid mistake once
if you know it was a stupid mistake, presumably you also know it was against the rules. hence, you weren't falsely banned.
-
Nope. Most of these cheaters eventually get caught. Just takes time because bungie tries to not punish the innocent (although it does sometimes happen). In your case, it seems you know why you got banned but refuse to admit it was correctly placed. Mistakes have consequences.
-
Fair. Least they can do is allow me to explain myself if I'm honest. An honest mistake leading to a permanent ban seems unfair without an option to voice an explanation.
-
That’s what the appeal form is for. However, it’s mainly just to allow bungie a second look to make sure they correctly placed a ban/restriction. It’s not to be used for excuses about why someone did something.

Editado por BRICK; Wall of the Lost: 7/8/2024 2:38:59 PMWell, have there been players who were able to be unbanned from perma-bans in the past? I want to hang on to the sliver of hope I can still get my account back if I wait long enough. With good behavior and such.
-
Yes there have. But those were because the ban was placed incorrectly. What were you banned for?
-
Well, only reasons I can think of, was battleye picked up a software I use for other single playered games, or I did a free recovery for a shader I wanted.
-
Both of those are clearly against policy. So it would appear your ban was correctly placed. However, only Bungie has that say-so, so youll just have to wait out your appeal process.
-
Alright. Thank you for the help, and thank you for the sliver of hope.
-
-
yeah, you have no sliver of hope left. if you had cheat software open and it was detected, that's it.
-
The worse part was, I didn't have it open. I tried to remove the software because it didn't work before I launched d2.
