Yeah, that ain't going to help one bit.

Look at every other playlist. Done any complaints about matchmaking? The answer is, no. All of their successful playlists have originated with cbmm. It’s obvious. If you can’t see that, you’re only making it worse for yourself and everyone else.
-
The game has swapped matchmaking styles about as often as your grandmother changes her underwear. SB or CB it makes ZERO difference. And as for the other playlists not getting complaints, you must be new here because ever since the game has released there's been people moaning about PvP matchmaking. The thing that NEEDS to change is players attitudes towards PvP, but unfortunately that won't ever happen.
-
You’re clueless. Everytime they revert back to cbmm the complaints die off significantly. But bungie caters to the minority. Seems to be a trend with them. Hence why they keep sbmm around. Plain and simple fact, sbmm does not have the population in this game to support it. That may work for large games like call of duty, but this game does not have that luxury. Every single time they change over, populations rise, players stay in games longer, and quality improves. You clearly must have have been around and experienced exactly what I’m talking about since d1. This trend has repeated itself time and time again only for the minority to cry and make changes that affect the majority in a negative way.

Minority or majority, SBMM or CBMM it doesn't make any difference. There's always complaints and it gets changed again and again. No matter what type of matchmaking you have people will complain because they don't like to lose, period. When they lose they whine about whatever they perceive to be the problem. Weapons, abilities, supers, matchmaking, hell there was even a nurf to a forking shader because people claimed it was the cause of them losing fights. The only thing people DON'T blame is themselves, because obviously they're too good and it's the fault of something else. Until people's attitudes change towards PvP it'll be an ongoing flip flop of buff/nurf and MM shift.
and we know damn well people's attitudes will NEVER change
You’re right on a lot. Won’t argue any of it really. But there is a reason they have put every game type to cbmm other than control. Bungie holds onto sbmm on one final playlist like children who were told to put a toy back in the store. It’s not about winning or losing. (For some obviously it is) it’s about match quality. Bungie did make an attempt to help this by using fireteam influenced sbmm. And well, obviously that has been a nightmare. Just a little too overboard Usually the simplest solution is right. For some reason bungie hasn’t figured out the overall best for the majority of people is cbmm. To determine teams you add in the snake effect of alternating the best players to opposing teams. Generally speaking most people don’t want to sweat every game. People enjoy playing with their friends. (And in a lot of cases people are in much different skill brackets) it doesn’t make sense to segregate these players. Sbmm should be reserved for the Comp playlist. It’s literally designed for it.

You're full of cra.p. Nobody likes a liar.
-
There have definitely been complaints about cbmm playlist matchmaking.
-
Crucible wasn't dead like this with CBMM either. Had well over 200k playing daily, now your lucky to see 90k on a Saturday primetime.
-
Not saying that one is better than another, was just making it known that people complain regardless of the mm type.
-
I know that, but SBMM almost killed the game before during Shadowkeep....so they removed it and then decided they needed to listen to the bottom 5% of players whining nonstop and screw everyone else over. Now the game is dying again. Honestly the game needs to die and all the Bungo staff fired by Sony.
-
That’s bs because there is no true sbmm in this game, if it were you wouldn’t have teams of players below 1.0 facing off against flawless players. Same bs happens in comp too. You’re supposed to face off against players in your skill bracket and as you rank up it gets sweater, but if that were true why are flawless/glorious players in silver and gold this far into the season?

They've never really had true sbmm in D2. D1 was pretty close for a while. People just don't want to admit that Cross Play adds lag and that ISPs throttle now because the law says they can. Also, 6v6 will always have more lag than 3v3.
