I'm cool with the relationship. It's no thing to me. Ppl be ppl. Folks love who they love & power to them. I'm more interested in what the Vex are up to tho. I've never been a fan of romantic/family storytelling in fantasy sci-fi games and/or film unless it's central to the plot. It's a soap opera feel to me. Kinda melodramatic & tbh, it's something that exists in our real life. I've been dumped & heartbroken & I've sure as -blam!- let ppl down 🥴 The romance side of it all jus feels jarring to me, regardless of personal preference. I loved Destiny for the fantastical worlds & space demons & crazy time surfing Vex but I've never gelled with the relationship threads. The Hive lore & Eliksni pirates & empirical Cabal are what really gripped me, so when I see a couple having a spat or someone struggling with their father's past, it pulls me out of the world. A great example was getting the far flung parts of the most evil being in existence and then making it into a cup of tea to wake someone's other half. That felt like a huge miss. But that's jus my take. I'm more interested in Worm Gods & Necromancers than love stories & family fueds.
