Can we all agree that Keith David is a legend of voice acting?
That he's done Lance Reddick justice, and made the community proud?
We have AI now - couldn’t we have just AI reddicks voice as needed?
Sorry but the voiceover wasent convincing and made the story less convincing…
They should have injured zavala or something make the change in voice believable..

AI can't convey emotions as well plus bungie would need permission to use his voice from next of kin and develop a good AI or buy one on top of that a lot of people don't like AI replacing humans jobs
We have AI now - couldn’t we have just AI reddicks voice as needed?
that is a very, very bad idea and i shouldn’t even have to tell you why.

first of all, i doubt bungie will be able to get away with it without some sort of threat to take legal action from Riddick’s family. the whole Tupac AI fiasco kinda shows everyone that it’s not such a good idea to plop a dead guy’s AI voice on your work so it benefits you. plus, the whole community will be up in arms about it so that’s really not good for business at Bungie, is it? ‘It’s just a game’, sure, but using AI to replace Riddick is morally wrong on a scale that even EA avoids. and in an age where people’s jobs are at risk of redundancy thanks to AI, i don’t think Bungie should set new examples for the rest of the gaming industry, because god knows that they’ll do whatever they can to make more profit.

Why would you immediately go there? If they got permission and paid for it the estate of lance would still be paid?

but that’s still morally not okay. the public (apart from AI bros i guess) wouldn’t like that and voice actors in general wouldn’t like that. plus AI can get super janky and weird, so you’d just be sitting there feeling a bit weird every time the big blue man speaks.
