Same but with a different idea behind it. I care less about differentiating classes as they more about differentiating build options. Letting us use more parts of our kits in interesting ways. For example stasis shuriken really only synergises with assassin's cowl and doesn't have enough to make it worth using in that fashion. Or lightning surge, it's cool but no way to really build a lightning surge build just a build using lightning surge. I'd like to see a Thor hammer themed exotic that applies jolt to enemies your hammer passes then let's you call the hammer back. (my friend really wants this one) Or one that let's you detonate your bubble like a nova bomb also applying a suppression wave, or shatter your barricade like a shotgun wave in front of you applying an elemental effect. Or a hunter dodge exotic that makes a micro teather and majes teather effects apply volatile when you exit invisibility for CC. A gunpowder gamble exotic that turns it into a cluster bomb that ignites scorched targets. A lot of exotics just don't feel very impactful to how you play. And a lot of abilities feel under utilized. honestly the reliance on them feels a bit stifling sometimes. In the regards of a lot of exotics feeling bland, for all classes I can agree with OP.
