Hate to say it but these two modes need to be gatekept because just like plenty of other players, I’m constantly getting teammates that clearly don’t play pvp and I’m punished by either losing comp points or losing flawless because I’m paired with teammates that are guardian rank 5, and get 2 kills a whole comp match or the same thing in trials. The light level should matter in Comp and it should be as aggressive as it was in D1 for both trials and comp. There’s absolutely no reason why the trials and competitive community should be filled with players that have no pvp experience. Should they be allowed to play pvp? Absolutely. Should they be allowed to be a deciding teammate in high level/ endgame PvP while having zero experience? No they shouldn’t.

I completely understand where you are coming from, but I as a player am on the lower end of the PVP player experience. I find it a lot of fun except when I get grouped with players or a team that I have no business being grouped with. I always feel horrible that I caused them a win and it’s very frustrating when I get one shot immediately after spawning. The grouping feature really needs to be revamped. Sorry to all those that I have been paired with that I caused to lose.

So lock out anyone who isnt a sweat...then you kill the player population and have to play sweaty as fk every match regardless. Longer que times because of smaller pool...nah...not the answer.

Trials, yes, absolutely. Comp is designed for everyone to have a spot though.

3 RespuestasComp is designed for all ability levels. Players match by rank (up to a maximum of just over one major rank up or down). There are various things that can cause players to have a bad game, but you are generally playing with and against similarly skilled players. Players that regularly perform badly will end up in the bottom ranks. Players that regularly perform well will end up in the top ranks.

I don’t play trials because i know I’m probably gonna suck pretty bad and piss someone off. But I wanna play with one of those adept weapons. I play everyday and have been increasing my KD, except when I get in games with multiple flawless players. That might explain why you have to endure noobie stench.

2 RespuestasI'm terrible at the PvP in this game, and I am the player you are almost always referring to. That being said, there are so many posts on the forums about how bad Comp and Trials matchmaking is and its always the same response. Get better.

Luckily with the new skill increase and primary play we can now tell that everyone who complains just can’t aim with a primary weapon

10 RespuestasLooking at your previous games, seems like you didn’t outperform any more times than you underperformed. In Comp you’ll match similar skill and that appears correct looking at your history

6 RespuestasOh wow these posts are exhausting to read now ! You have two choices ….get a team or walk away . Terrible modes and you have a choice

This is satire right ?

There isn’t a single PvP requirement for GR’s so they are completely irrelevant and not an indicator of skill. In fact looking at some of your last matches you’ve been outperformed by plenty of players on your teams who are GR6/7 while you yourself are GR10. 2. You’re a .5 in Trials and a .9 in Crucible and you are consistently one of the worst players on all of your teams so you’re the exact type of player who you think should be “gatekept” from Comp and Trials. 3. Try being a little more self-aware in the future because this post would be dumb coming from someone who’s actually good at PvP lol.

4 RespuestasYou do understand that comp is sbmm? So you basically matching with players around your skill level, just saying. In trials it's frustrating to have some 5 year old kids in team, but D2 isn't a pvp game, so they get an access to trials really quick, which is bad for the gamemode and for them, because they are getting destroyed in trials

Guardian rank means jack -blam!-! I’ve seen higher ranks that can hardly get through a heroic nightfall without dying 20 or more times. Im at rank 7 and have no desire to grind out chores for rank, pretty sure I’m not the only who feels this way either. Also, I’ve played since D1 alpha so I’m pretty sure I know the game.

100%. Sundial soldiers ruined everything about this game that bungie hadn't already destroyed.

1 RespuestaEditado por Zodleon: 3/22/2024 2:29:08 AMI don't have a problem with low skill players playing endgame pvp. The problem is as much about population as skill, if the population was much higher, then the difference would between games wouldn't seem as drastic, removing low skill population would make it seem more for a while but it'd just shift up which players were bleeding My problem is when low skill players come out of it then complain that they couldn't compete on the endgame mode and try to change it like it owed them something. Light level has other problems. Mainly that pure pvp players will be at a disadvantage since they'll gain that light level slower. So bad players getting more powerful rewards would actually have the advantage there for major releases.

3 RespuestasComp is skill based or as close to it as they can with the player population.. you're playing with and against ppl close to your level Trials is connection based good luck solo if you can't carry.
