How so? D1 had significantly worse ability spam, and there were stronger abilities.
D2 does "gunplay" much better, and, if you'll look, TTK values between the two games are almost identical.

What???? You couldn’t be more wrong.

Editado por NotCreative123: 3/6/2024 3:50:54 PMPlease elaborate on your point. I'll go ahead and clarify mine in case of misunderstanding. Destiny 2 abilties have longer cooldowns than D1. For the most part, TTK values between the games fall within the same range for primary weapons.
-
Bro you do realize we have way stronger abilities in D2 and more abilities than in d1? We didn’t have rifts barricades and -blam!-. Strand hunter spam in d2 is the most broken subclass destiny has ever seen. Constant uptime and very strong damage. Decoy pulls aim assist and can kill you.
-
D1 abilities were much weaker, no barricades no healing rifts no well of radiance or bubble spam. Nobody complained about ability spam in D1 until we got one shot sticky nades it’s far worse in D2.
-
Yes, Rifts and Barricades are new abilities than we didn't have in D1. That does add another ability to the mix. However, that one additional ability doesn't make up for the fact that D1 abilties recharged faster (at 25 seconds for EVERY grenade and melee) and dealt significantly more damage than they do in D2. I'm not here to convince you. I think that dealing with 25-second instant-kill abilities is worse than dealing with Barricades and Rifts every 50 seconds.
-
Less abilities spam ? Not today mate not ever actually. Your cool down on t10 is 25 sec and pretty much any grenade one shoot you Gun play d1 is even today greater that the one in d2
-
Why even bother responding to someone who can't even fact check before posting...? Please list the 25 second grenade abilites in D2. (HINT: There aren't any) Now, I'll list the 25 second grenade abilities in D1... Ready? Ok... LITERALLY ALL OF THEM
-
This is exactly what i said in d1 t10 grenades is 25 sec
-
Okay, English doesn't seem to be your native language, so let me explain. In my original post, "worse ability spam" means that there was MORE ability spam in D1. It seems like we agree. Carry on.
-
We agree ;)

Bruh there is only one instakill nade. Wake up

Void scatter grenades, fusion grenades, magnetic grenades and thermite grenades could all kill a player.
-
Void scatter grenades, fusion grenades, magnetic grenades and thermite grenades could all kill a player.
With certain builds sure but what you’re saying is wrong. Magnetic grenades do not one hit. Thermite do not one hit kill either. The true one hit kill grenades are very very balanced. I.e flux and scatter. Flux takes a lot of skill to actually stick someone and scatter only works when they are being bots hiding for the most part.
-
Scatter is true but I don't think the others are
-
It is true.
-
Fusion deals about 190 damage, Magnetic I think deals about 190 total, thermite deals like 80 per a wave. If we were in the old sandbox fusion and magnetic would insta kill anyone with under about 7 resilience while now you need to have like 0 resilience to die to them but they leave you one shot. Wave technically kills but not instantly. Though if you have roaring x2 I believe fusion kills.

This discussion is about Destiny 1. All of the grenades I listed have been able to kill guardians from full health at one point or another.

Editado por Rogue: 3/7/2024 6:50:29 AMYes, for the sake of being concise I also included the grenades that were able to kill a guardian from full health without specifying that even though they were able to kill a guardian, it happened in more than a single hit. By a strict logic, a scatter grenade also doesn’t OHK, as it is also several hits. It’s semantics at best, dude. There are grenades that can kill someone from full health, and there are grenades that cannot do that.
-
Oh I thought you were mentioning them in d2 and I think the other person thought the same because atm in d2 only the scatter grenade can one hit
-
Editado por Rogue: 3/6/2024 7:52:40 AMThe caveat on the scatter grenade is that it needs to be a perfect placement, but it’s scary as heck when it kills. I’m not even sure if Bungie knows scatter can OHK. It’s always felt unintended.
-
Non sens. A flash bang grenade one kill you if a your feet for instance
-
Flash bangs do not kill you in 1 hit. That's just flat-out wrong.
-
In d1 again ...
