I feel like Destiny's biggest flaw has to be the year long plan method.

I definitely understand planning out the story and especially the content that's meant to rollout over the upcoming year, but the change in principle that accompanies this plan and the level rigidness Bungie management adopts to see this plan through is insane. There has never been a single instance within D2 I can remember where a DLC launched and its immediate reception didn't match the entirety of the year. There's never been a turn around within one DLC to the next. Y1 D2 launched with 2 primarys and regardless of the immediate and overwhelming feedback against it there was no change made until Forsaken. I can only imagine that once a year plan has been locked in for one reason or another the fellas at Bungie are locked in and forced to finish the course even if it means running full steam ahead into an iceberg like Titanic. It's at times like these I wonder what happened to the D1 style spring updates that'd act sort of like a pivot towards some of the feedback given for gameplay and quality of life. I don't understand why the player base would have to suffer a badly executed idea for an entire year
