I read through it. Sounds nice. Now knock my socks off. There will be money in this if you deliver on a fantastic product. Money comes from the quality of the product, not from the profit margin you can facilitate by cutting costs and cheapening a product. When you cheapen the product, money will be there for a time- but it will eventually go away.

The path is lined with coconuts...

I think it's hilarious if ANYONE buys the BS that BungLe is selling with that.
-
10 Respuestas"Good start" he says, unaware that this is the same thing Bungie has always said when they walked right into the pile they dropped themselves while everyone pointed at them for doing it. This is the only card Bungie ever plays and it's tiring to see people fall for it again and again.
-
2 RespuestasThe problem is, they have said similar things in the past, and here we are.
-
So the CEO formula of earn trust, then charge more and offer less is no longer working out for Bungie? Hmmm.....
-
I'd like them to be transparent now and tell me how much content is in TFS if they want me to pre order. How many strikes, new PvP maps, story missions etc.

They need to deliver at least this much for TFS to be worth the money or don't bother charging us money for that when I get this big map for free

Our path forward is to continue to scam you and under deliver. We made the mistake of getting caught out this time, but we assure you that won’t happen again. From now on we will be even more diligent in masking our deception. You are going to be scammed continuously without even realising it, and you will even be happy about it. We look forward to continually leeching from you right through to Final Shape and beyond.

1 RespuestaThis shouldn’t be a start… this is endgame.

The old, mouldy carrot on a stick.

I haven't read it, but I know it's fake as most of their TWABs because it came from the damage control team. It's annoying as hell how fake these people are especially pretending "they care about their customers". There are way too many stupid businesses in their world like this that constantly lie to their customers. Some of you have this illusion that the Final Shape is going to be good because they are delaying the release. News flash! delays with this business literally mean a boatload of corners are going to be cut, and the sweet talking from this business about how "great things will be" will kick in. This business is all about talk and that is what a lot of you fall for. They talk the talk but do not walk the walk.

4 RespuestasEditado por A Traffic Cone: 11/3/2023 12:13:40 AMThey say this every 3 months. They've had their time and never made good on it
-
3 RespuestasNot a good start. They always make a blog post to get our trust back, they did like 3 months ago. Why do you have to wait for people to stop playing your game, in order to respond to criticism
-
3 Respuestashow many times are they going to lead the community on before the community realizes they are being led on?
-
Agreed. I'm actually more optimistic about the franchise after this week than I've been for the past two years. At least it appears they want to improve it now. I had just accepted these super-mid expansions & shallow seasons were going to be the future moving forward. I had just figured my "break" would just become me fully quitting. Now, we might see them make a comeback & give me a reason to re-install it. I wish them the best of luck. I'd rather see the franchise make a huge comeback over it failing & shut down.
-
1 RespuestaNext season has to be an absolute banger for them to start getting player sentiment up before TFS drops.
-
1 RespuestaI don’t care how far they push back the final shape, I just want them to make it good.
-
Really? a Southpark BP guy "SORRY"? a good start? FACTS no words, until now, not a f... coin to BUNGIE
-
Same record; we hear over and over and over again; time after time. Forget words; let’s see next year with Final Shape; then let the community decide because after that; words won’t be needed; either way.
-
I didn't read the article but if it said anything like "we let the fans down", "we hear you", and "we promise to deliver on the next thing" then you should know Bungie has a button to press that auto prints that and they use it liberally.
-
Good start? This is nothing more than an attempt by Bungie at an apology having got caught with their hands in the gaming till. They thought and expected they could put out a year's worth of underwhelming content and charge a premium for it for minimal effort. Now they have the realisation that not only has that failed, but they now have a huge problem with credibility with regard to what sales they will muster for Final Shape. They need to deliver a product worth purchasing now first and foremost. This is all of their own making.
-
Good start.. sure if you are hoping they keep doing the same things. Every time there is a problem they say sorry, its our fault, we will do better. Just like that girlfriend or boyfriend you know is lying. They do better for 5 minutes and back to the same old -blam!-. How about we get details of what they realize now they did wrong and what they should have done, How about the details of what they are going to actually do with the 4 months to make TFS better, real info not just vague notions of better, good, etc. Do I want Destiny to fail? Absolutely not. Do I want the game to continue in this same fashion it has been? Same answer.
There will be money in this if you deliver on a fantastic product
There will be money in this AFTER you deliver on a fantastic product, that 3 sentence note from this hyped-up recidivist is not an excuse for another pre-order grab, you need to hold on to your expectations and wallet till it's there

Season pass games are always gonna be doomed and are made to make a quick profit without putting much work into it, I've seen this with the season pass games I play, sticking to just expansions is the way to go to keep quality and have constant revenue stream. Season passes are a cheap mans development method

How was that little damage control phrase written by some higher up, because they fired everyone else who would wriite these, in any way shape or form "a good start"???? Bungie has ignored the playerbase for years, has disrespected them for years, has milked their loyal players for years. People were fine with getting scammed apparently and now this little text that someone who probably makes 7 digits a year wrote down in 4 minutes is "a good start"?????????????????????? They maximize revenue. Thats their entire intent behind the game. Not fun, not satisfied customers, not respect for their customers. No, its min maxing cost to cash out the most amount possible. Server costs have been reduced and kept in line, workers have been laid off, teams that work on D2 have been limited to mostly cheap junior devs just so the experienced devs can work on the next money printing machine games. Oh boy this community is a lost cause. The words are hollow, worth nothing because we know who wrote them and nothing will change. Atleast nothing substantial. They will milk the remaining elitist players to the maximum and then, when even thats not profitable enough anymore, they will entirely dump destiny. THAT is the reality. Nothing else.
