Sounds to me like yall need to get better builds lol. If removing 1 piece kills it, that means yall have copied and pasted a build from someone instead of figuring out 1 for yourself. Sucks for you lol.

Naw, I understand it fine. My builds didn't fall apart like yalls cause I switched helms to masks. All yall gotta do is wait till that youtuber yall get builds from puts up a new one using masks, then yall will be fine.

They working out fine so far lol. Not having an exotic helm means nothing. Only issue I had was I thought it said unstoppable champs instead of barrier, smh. Imagine my surprise when the shield popped up and I had on no anti barrier lol.

I didn't say that lol. I just think if your builds are so reliant on 1 piece, then you need to go back to the lab. Or you can just wait for someone to come up with a build that uses masks, then copy it. I'm pretty sure that's how most of yall 'build' any way lol.

You can run the activities with pretty much any loadout.

I don't mean to speak for someone else, but I think what was meant was it kind of hamstrings a player's adaptability if a subclass build's viability is contingent on one specific Exotic, especially considering the frequency that Exotics get nerfed/buffed in this game.

Yes, as far as I understand them, but my point was that hinging your success on one Exotic build is sort of an "eggs in one basket" kind of thing, don't you think? As I said, with how often Exotics, even weapon types, are getting nerfed or have their perks outright changed (I don't remember all of them, but Foe Tracer/Knucklehead Radar comes to mind) committing to one particular Exotic or in this case armor slot leaves you floundering should Bungie go tinkering with things. Which they're prone to doing. It was just a thought I had and was in no way an attempt to ridicule anyone.

Mmyeah - but like imagine playing Blink warlock without eg. [armory]Astrocyte Verse[/armory]. Looking at my builds, most of them have Exotic helmet saved into them. [armory]Mask of Quiet One[/armory], [armory]Khepri[/armory]'s Horn, [armory]Cenotaph Mask[/armory], [armory]Fallen Sunstar[/armory], [armory]Dawn Chorus[/armory], [armory]Nezarec[/armory]'s Sin. Just a tad annoying to be forced to strip large part of the builds power by some goofy mask.

You don't have to wear the masks all the time lol. Use normal builds for high-end content, wear the masks when you doing activities less than high-end.

Well, I'll be honest, the only thing I can imagine if it's me playing as a Warlock is a constant "Waiting for Revive" on my screen; boy do I suck at playing anything other than a Hunter, lol. But I see your point though, if it was a piece of arm gear that needed to be equipped for the event there's a very strong probability I'd be screwed. YAS, Caliban's, Athrys's, Renewal Grasps, Liar's Handshake, etcetera. Hard to argue, I admit.

With only 2 of us used to Warlock.

I've been told on more than one occasion that my issue with using other classes is something of an inconvenience. I've tried, genuinely, but the Hunter abilities are too close to so many characters I've played in other games for 30+ years (double/triple-jump, roll dodge) that switching to something that floats or glides and has no dodging ability makes me feel as though I'm playing with my thumbs taped to my hands. It just doesn't jive with my muscle-memory.
